By viewer request, I break two of the more common Imperial Strategies for Star Wars: Rebellion! And, I finally become a decent KZfaqr again by making notes ahead of time!

You should do an overview of overall Rebel Strategy, including the Endor corridor tactics as well. Just to balance it all out. Thanks so much for the videos! They're super helpful!

The whole point of Collect Bounty is that you can target a leader ANYWHERE not just with an imperial unit.

We love Boba because his story really blossomed during Expanded. Also he collected lightsabers every once in a while.

Great video, especially Boba being a delivery boy that follows some trash only to be defeated by a blind Han lol I’d be interested to see some of your analysis with the ROTE expansion.

"There are two basic imperial strategies" Oh boy here we go... You got 2 of the main strategies down. But there's a third major philosophy Consider the anti objective strategy. Where you use Rule By Fear and other diplomacy missions to eliminate rebel loyalty which is the primary source of rebel reputation and units. It shuts down the Rebels, giving you time to hunt down the Rebels. Kinda the opposite of the Search and Destroy strategy which is a Zerg rush for the base.
@theprognard12137 жыл бұрын
David Umstattd I didn't even think about that! Thanks! I'm definitely going to start exploring that!
@Quincy_Morris7 жыл бұрын
The Prognard yeah I was skeptical when I first heard it but it's surprisingly effective. You kinda rely on missions to put plastic on the board instead of normal production because you almost never use RBF for anything other than neutralization. But it works. Especially if you start with Brilliant Administraitor or can draw some good production projects.

Biggest reason to pick a remote system is that the empire can't gain loyalty there and thus check the planet.
@theprognard12137 жыл бұрын
Great point! I didn't even think about that. Yet another reason why you just have to suck it up and sweep those planets.

I'll go with the search and destroy tactic since thats the first strategy i came up with
@kotowaza-sensei4285 жыл бұрын
I think the reason why remote planets are good choices for the rebel base is because it can't be discovered through loyalty. The empire needs to phyisically go there to find it.
@owenhodnett84684 жыл бұрын
There is exactly one card and it's not a starting card that can gain loyalty in planets without having troops. The reason remote systems are better bases is because the imperial player will most likely pass up those planets in their first main spread so they won't get your base immediately.

Great video! Any chance you'll do something similar with the rise of the empire expansion? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Probably not. The channel didn't really take off in a way that made it worth my time to keep doing videos.

Not yet.. I have started the prep work for it, but I haven't put anything on camera yet. I'll try to get the motivation to do it soon!

@g07h4xf006 жыл бұрын
Thanks. These stats are interesting. I can't believe Admiral Piett was recruited so much. His action cards are some of the worst in the game LOL. Personally I'm a big fan of Admiral Ozzel, who I think have some of the best action cards in the game.
@theprognard12136 жыл бұрын
Ozzel is pretty good!
@g07h4xf006 жыл бұрын
My favorite 4 imperial leaders to recruit are definitely Boba Fett, Admiral Ozzel, Janus Greejatus, and Colonel Yularen. The other leaders for me it would really have to depend on whether I have any of their leader-specific missions in my hand or if the map really warrants their specific action card. Soontir Fel's Scouting Mission can be very powerful. I'll take Jerjerod for "Proceeding as Planned" if I already have Ozzel and I'd also be more motivated to take him if I have "Double Our Efforts."

I felt i've tried to do the seek and destroy strategy two times now without any wins. Maybe i just played it wrong, maybe i was just unlucky. My initial thought was to start to make more use of the probe deck/cards (the gather intel mission) to find the rebel base, but then i watched this video :D. Is the gather intel card just bad in general? Because that was what i thought when i started playing but on the other hand my version of seek and destroy didn't work out either.
@y00zvaporeon6 жыл бұрын
Great video by the way!
@theprognard12136 жыл бұрын
Gather Intel is great when they are turtling in the rebel base space, but other than that it's two thumbs meh.

I find your lack of faith in projects disturbing. Consider using projects for primary production instead of loyal square systems. Guaranteed production from projects is far better than relying on easily sabotaged systems. Especially if it's the SSD which is the best unit in the game.
@theprognard12137 жыл бұрын
I hear you, and you make good counter points. Where I am at with the game, I just don't think they are worth it. The SSD is awesome, but I don't think it's worth 2 actions just to get it on the build que. But I'm always open to reevaluating my views. I'll look at it harder in future games.

Literally never seen Inspire Sympathy score 3 points. Blow up a planet to eliminate two rebel loyal systems. One through destruction one through the card effect. The Death Star is really powerful. Assume it's going to be blown up eventually and use it aggressively but rarely ever destroy two planets unless you have a good reason.
@theprognard12137 жыл бұрын
I've done it once, but it was against a total noob, so I don't even know if it counts. I have seen it scored a few times for 2.
@andelknijft70306 жыл бұрын
He said if you destroy 3 planets
@reneshible52905 жыл бұрын
I was thinking this exact thing - the card effect shouldn't be overlooked and it adds a lot of value to the Death Star besides just blowing up a planet. As you put it, you're actually eliminating two rebel systems every time you those superlasers go online.
