As much as I would have loved a sequel where we got to rescue Sev I think this is a really good ending despite the cliffhanger. You've grown attatched to this brother in arms and now you have to leave him behind for the greater good despite how much you care about them. Truely a game that puts you in the boots of a soldier.

Anyone notice the imperial march is playing at 1:50, almost as if to foreshadow of what gonna happen in the recent future of the republic invasion force. Please note those game came out earlier by a few month before the revenge of the sith movie!

I teared at this ending as a kid, I knew we were leaving Sev behind and it just hurt me.

This could have used a Deus Ex like decision, where you either go back for Sev or follow your orders, risking being labeled a deserter by the Republic if you disobey. If they made a sequel, they could have imported your decision to the sequel and go from there with order 66. THAT would have been awesome.

After you destroy the ship look to your left and a bit down, you'll see Sev and when he calls for help, you don't see anyone shooting at him.

If I was Boss I'd cut the transmission between me and the Advisor and go back for Sev with or without Fixer and Scorch. Like he said on the RAS Prosecutor Ship:" I don't want to become a three man squad." I'd would take out any: Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, Droidekas, Grievous Bodyguards, Spider Droids, Geonosian Warriors, Geonosian Drones, Geonosian Elites, Scavenger Droids, Trandoshan Slavers, Trandoshan Elite Heavy Assault Mercenaries, and Trandoshan Mercenaries who would've stood in my way the Republic never leaves a man behind. Sev will be back…there is NO Delta Squad without him.

They definitely could've added a choice for two different endings here. Especially considering KOTOR'D success I don't know why they didn't.

Not even certain Sev is truly Dead, SEV is one Strong guy he's just as Hard to Kill like Chewbacca, also like Lando. Just Finished Star Wars Republic Commando on the Xbox 360 back in 2021, and have a plot for Star Wars Republic Commando Two Video Game on how he could survive, He fights on, uses that Turbo Laser Turret to get some droids killed, but one of them fires a E.M.P. Blaster rifle to shut down that turret, so he jumps off his balcony, go through some lower sewer levels, finds a computer to temporarily disable the droids communication grid, along with temporarily disabling the droids from finding him, uses the computer to help boost his signal again, Clone Advisor 1 we like to call Royland, and then the rest of Delta Republic Commando 1,138 nicknamed 38 we like to call him Commander Normazz, R.C 1,262 nicknamed 62 alias Scorch, R.C. 1,140 nicknamed 40 alias Pixer picks up his signal, Scorch stays back to cover them, on their way they feel some ache within their heads about orders, Pixer theorizes it's the Inhibitor Chips he learned from Rex that A.R.C Trooper Fives discovered, Pixer pulls out a Inhibitor Chip Extractor he created for emergencies, pulled it out from his pack, they remove the inhibitor chips Like Commander Rex did in Season 7 Episode 11 + like Commander Doom did, (few KZfaqrs say Doom removed his chip) they disobey all orders including Disobey execute order 66, they rescued Sev, then return to their posts. But when they return to their previous position where they last left off, Scorch wasn't there, they heard Scorch from comm unit he went to the Western Side of the City, the rest of Delta Squad continue defending Kashyyyk, then Order 66 Comes in, they refuse to do it, but Sev still has his Inhibitor Chip forces him to obey it, but then Normazz temporarily blinded him with a flashbang grenade, then Normazz uses a Regular Clone Trooper DC 15A blaster to stun him unconscious, Pixer uses his chip Dissector machine to cut out the thus extract the Bio behavioral Inhibitor Chip, thus making sure they never follow any Senate politicians Order to excute the Jedi not even Former Supreme Chancellor to Emperor Sheev Palpatine, they continue serving the Remaining Jedi, lie to other Clone Troopers saying Quinlan Vos, Yoda, Luminara are already dead, Yoda takes them to another Spaceship, Thanks em for Disobeying Excute Order 66. But unfortunately Schorch's suit transponder signal got damaged on the west side of the City along with his comm unit, they had no way of tracking him, they had to leave but Pixer promised Normazz they will find him. They find a secret encrypted text message on their ship, Pixer decodes it, the message says We disobeyed Order 66, we know you did too, it's alright your secret is safe with us, but can't talk on computer for long, they will try to find us. Meet us at this coordinates on Rhen Var abandoned Clone Base Three years ago. They meet up on that planet, Not Rex he's off the grid, they meet up with Commander Doom in a secret location, he explains why Order 66 happened, that he studied the Bio chips also order 66 ever since ARC Trooper Fives first discovered the Inhibitor chips, he removed his secretly, then when Doom's 999th Battalion was on Umbara serving Jedi Oppo Rancisis, he secretly went with a Kaminoan science Droid got him working on a satellite antenna comm array to deliver a E.M.P to deactivate all Bio Chips in every Troopers in the 999th on Umbara, Doom sees footage from a Stealth Info Spy Droid recording Sheev Palpatine using a Red Lightsaber to kill 3 Jedi, then used Lightning to Kill Mace Windu indicating Sheev Palpatine is Darth Sidious, he's been the Sith Lord hiding in the Senate, when Order 66 came they started attacking Master Rancisis, but finished the array delivered the E.M.P making each 999th Troopers Permeantly stop Excuting Order 66. He then told Rancisis he needs to hide, It's only a matter of time before Sidious sends more Clone reinforcement, but before Oppo Rancisis gone to hiding, he told them he senses Delta Squad also disobeyed Order Sixty Six, they have helped Quinlan Vos, Yoda Luminara, he told them that they need to get Delta Squad's help to get Master Reus Battalion out of their Bio Chip Control, and to Save the 187th Battalion Purple Company Clone Faction that obey Master Windu Order to remove all their chips, because he believes Palpatine will most likely have the 187th killed, Commander Doom said we'll do our best. Oppo said Good, and thank you. Reus Battalion with Commander Ganch is on Raxus Prime following Jedi Padawan Tyzen Xebec, alongside Jedi Knight General Keelyrine Reus, their communication is jammed due to Separatist satellite but only temporarily, need to deliver an E.M.P all over Raxus Prime before the Jammers are taken down, 187th Battalion is on Ilum, the planet is being shield by it's Moon for now, 187th Battalion is being led by CC 905,159 Commander High Five, Jedi General Bultar Swan Asian type lady with Greensaber! 🟢 with her padawan Kyle Lavern. He told them if they destroy the shield Generator that will only will help the Shock Troopers kill them, they can't save the 187th Battalion, he says they have to leave them. Commander Normazz says No, we're so close, there's gotta be another way. I'll be dammed if I let these Great Soldiers die. Pixer says There is, our ship has a Prototype field bypasser that travel through any force fields, even world wide force fields, warn the 187th about Order 66, have them retreat to a fallout Shelter, while 1 of us deploys a bomb at the City main Power station. The Explosion will be more than enough Powerfull to have the Mountains literally sink everyone underground. Commander Normazz, Yes excellent Idea Pixer, that will work. Can we blow up the station? Yes, but only problem is the Shield Bypasser it's never been fully field tested. Well then congratulations now it's the time to strike, now it's the first time to completely field test it.

I still remember that one mission where it all changed..... "Boss i need help" Regardless of the game ending i still remember running to help Sev. If i was Boss i'd throw my helmet off and tell 62 to follow me we are getting our brother back. I'd say to 40 help us or get on the gunship your choice.

Goddamit. When I heard what was going on with sev I immediately started making my way to him. The conversation went on as usual but that didn’t stop me, then the game just cuts off and talks about how delta squad had to deal with it

Imagine....Star Wars Imperial Commando with Delta Squad back hunting down Clone Deserters and a Rebel/CloneDeserter Squad led by Captain Rex fighting where you switch between the two Squads until you both face off..... hahaha

I remember playing this game and running back to the artillery spot sev was using to see if there was anyway I could do anything or confirm his death and remember never seeing his body, gave me hope that sev is alive.

Sev was the fiercest hunter of all the clones, I have no doubt he could survive the Kashyyyk lowlands. Sadly I don’t think we’ll ever see it. (Not that I want Disney to touch this masterpiece anyways.)

This ending sucks. They were totally able to beat the droids in the end. Even 62 knows that. 38 was even capable of walking past over a dozen Super battle droids, and was able to beat them in the first place. Plus, your comrades have infinite AA ammo, so assign them to that, and they'll easily kill the droids. From the sounds of it, the droids were destroyer droids, so they are very easy to beat. Screw Yoda, and save Sev, 38, and that's an order, straight from me.

This is like the only ending in any Star Wars media that’s both tragic and bad-ass. Coming to the realization that you have to leave Sev behind (possibly for dead) and how dark that is, and knowing Order 66 comes shortly after. But the whole back into action cliffhanger followed by the Clones song in the credits, hell yeah. I don’t think any other Star Wars story has really ended like that.

If the game ending came with a choice; ignore orders or evac, THEN this ending would have been legendary, instead of just good.

@1995Optimus 487 The characters also appear in a series of books. I haven't read them but from what I know Sev is considered MIA and never appears again. The rest of them eventually become Imperial Commandos and get a replacement for Sev.

Star Wars republic commando 2 and Knights of the old republic 3 HAVE to be announced. Hopefully at gamescom this year.

You can't know from the game. You gotta read the book series by Kareen Traviss. Though, considering his last messages " Multiple hostiles, *static* coms get taken out" I don't think he survived. Order 66 was issued at the time they lost contact with Sev.

He's dead, the team searched after the invasion and yet to find him or any traces leading to his location. (from the books)

This game will most likely never get picked up again to produce a sequel since it is not canon anymore. But at least Delta squad is canon since they appeared for a few seconds returning the dead bodies of a Jedi Master and his Padawan in The Clone Wars. If it does get picked up again it will most likely be made completely new from the the ground up, with a newer and improved story.

Lucasarts should continue this game and make it into a series and eventually have a mission regarding order 66...

If I am correct....the invasion of kashyyk in the movies....that's when order 66 happened....I think that is why there has been no second game....because they wouldn't be apart of the Republic anymore and order 66 would have made delta squad turn on the jedi.

im sure Sev will turn out alive, if they do make a republic commando 2 they should make the first mission where you play as Sec lost in the forests of kashyyyk fighting for your life.

And to think that the ending of this game was to be retconned like the ending for the Clone Wars microseries! As much as I love the cgi Clone Wars series, why the hell were only a few events such as the Battle of Sarrish left canon?
