I think the secret of this trick is just by cutting and editing and also some camera tricks the only real is the reaction of those people by using different kind of act to make them react by surprise and they used it to coverup the tricks.. well played!

Well most of his stuff is done with great tricks and technique. This one was just video editing, you could do it yourself with a camera and a few minutes to edit.

More likely, the very few shots of him actually “disappearing” and the cloak falling flat is a computer generated effect added in post production. It’s also the misdirection of what’s actually happening. Don’t concern yourself with how he disappeared, because he didn’t. The real illusion is that you are supposed to be the one entertained by watching other people get pranked. It’s banking on your willingness to believe that these people are reacting to what you saw added later through visual effects software.
