Given how the customers also could order it with modifications to fit their individual needs, it might be the case that different enignes are available and thus the different colors. Just like we in our world offer vehicles with multiple engines. But with the starships you see this difference as the glow color.

Arcs are probably my favourite star fighters in all of star wars. They sound sooo cool but we will probably never see them again because Disney hates the prequels for some reason.

it is, I do star wars RPG(pen/paper) and instead of a YT-1300 Corellian freighter I use the GX1 Short Hauler for the party. my players had a blast with it and even modded it out like crazy.

@@Gen-Atari-X That would make sense and it would be a great cargo ship for that very reason, it's practically pocket change and you could upgrade it as you earn money. You could go from safe but low profit runs steadily up to more dangerous but lucrative runs or even move into bounty hunting/mercenary work when you've upgraded enough... You know what, I would love an Elite Dangerous game set in the Star Wars universe because what I described sounds awesome.

If it were bigger, I imagine the diplomat version could also be upgraded for space combat by the New Republic, and be made into a carrier version to dock 5 A-Wings/Delta 7Bs/V-Wings, just like the Pelta-class Phoenix Home. The only difference being that, because of the front window, the bottom bridge would have its starfighter hanger and tractor beam at the back.

Could it be heavily modified and fitted with _plot armour_ to become a hero ship? As a side note, having the engines improved and fitted with extra weapons and it could become a decent bounty hunter ship. Able to be piloted by a single crewman and to blend in with regular traffic, plus the diplomat model already has a great comms system.

Thats actually why ive written the backstory of the character ive created for the mandalorian mercs to include this ship as her mobile base. They made tons of them, so itll blend into shipping lanes. But imagine if a bounty hunter managed to get hands on the diplomatic model with weapon hard points, armor and a first rate comms system, then upgrade the engines and add a few extra guns. To me it makes perfect sense and theres plenty of space for all sorts of storage, cargo, a machinist shop for making repairs etc, if you gutted a few of the luxury aspects. The hyperspace capable mini shuttle is also an excellent plus and could be used for recon or for covert landings where the larger ship could be picked up on sensors or visually.

4:41 really this is a awesome detail because Xenon is fairly expensive but now I can't stop wondering what gas glows orange when ionized hydrogen glows at more of a red if I remember correctly

a completely normal human maybe they can change engine emissions so is "cooler" giving off lower energy signature..so can sneak into certain regions..? The orange like red star cooler..? But blue hotter..? Just a notion 😆

My West End gaming group had a Lantillian GX-1, "Hurricane Crossfire"; "Transport, this is Solo. Better take off - I can't get to you. I'll get the princess out on the Crossfire." That's the line we always filled in to see if our ship had a solid name. ____________________________________________________________________ The GX-1 can be seen twice in the civilian fleet. Once where you point out and a second one further back and below the Falcon (about halfway between the cockpit and mandibles). At the end of the movie as everyone is meeting up and congratulating one another on a job well done, you can see the rear view of a GX-1 coming in for a landing

In the clone wars I remember seeing a couple of republic frigates and some had blue thrusters and some had orange. And I think some belonged to anikans fleet and some to obi wans fleet. Maybe you can customise the coulor and anikan and obi wan mached the coulors to their legion.

I've loved this ship since I first ran across it in West End's Star Wars RPG. It looks like a grasshopper. Especially In profile. My favorite ships in Star Wars have always been; 1. Y-Wing - strong and tough, even if a bit older (kinda like me!). Takes a licking, keeps a kicked. 2. Lantillian GX-1 - Yacht sized, can be used as a. Very-light freighter, but can't match the YT-1300. However, Obi Wan and Luke could have traveled in more comfort. 3. Ghtroc Freighter. Big and tough. More room that a YT, might be considered a medium freight. 4. CV-90 Corvetter - small capital ship. Love the design..

I always really like this shop. perfect size for a small group of intrepid adventurers! And wont stick out too much either. the high end options you probably wouldnt be able to notice with all the basic common transport or cargo versions flying around is a great bonus too.

Adaptable, economical, practical and good looking. For a typically non-combat vessel the GX-1 is pretty solid. Makes sense that the SW universe would have bus/train/ferry equivalents for lower income civilians.

A military model should have had a armed armored hyperdrive assult shuttel. The top section could be coverted to a bounty hunters prisoners ship. The droid pilot could have deflector sheilds, and light stunner, blasters of a destroyer droid, and also run the ship from a armored copit out side the ship. The brige area could be a prisoner cafeteria. For light security inmates. Run by a securty, or several class 4 battel droids. Could man handle the 38 light security prisoners. The rear chamber could have 3 months consumables. And a carbinit frezer for the dangerous ones. Which should be stored in carbinit. The assult shuttel could have luxury living quarters for a bounty hunters, and the luxury holo suite. And a hyper drive. Several hunters could dock their ships in turn. Discharge their catches. To be processed. Then the whole fleet stops at a star base and does a mass prisoner. Dump.

It actually something that looks like it belong in the Rebel Alliance Navy. This ship will probably be used in moving supplies and personals. It would’ve been in used in the beginning of the Rebellion, but it probably left behind for better cargo carriers, still love the diplomat version red color scheme.

Lol i didnt knew that this ship is from Star wars. Months ago i found a Paintlike made picture from the Ship on Pinterest, (at 2:08 exactly the Left Picture!) wich how it looks like outside and inside. I built that ship in Space Engineers on Console and was happy about because it was my First "Large", full interior Small Grid ship in the Game. The most parts actually even looks like the GX, but it is much Smaller than the Original and unlike the Rotating Wings, my SE version are just vertically Built, without rotors or something else.

I would put some light turbolasers or warhead launchers, maybe somr repeating blasters on the wing joint...and instead of one double leaser, 2 quads or 2 double heavy lasers. make it into a small gunboat/cargo ship

That is one hell of a lot of ship for 20,500 credits. I don't see why no ships seem to have lift exits, they take up way less internal space than a ramp.

i like to think that in Ep9 that ship is the GX 2 Short Hauler model since the GX 1 did so well so why wouldn't there be a successor to it, which is slightly bigger and a could have a military version something like it being a corvette or gunboat class

In the Resistance's case any ship will do. Also any ship from the prequels in the sequels is a good sign. Also anti-starfighter ships are a real game changer.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Disney would throw this ship up so they can get more visitors for this specific ride, as a big "hey, this ship was in the movies!". I wouldn't be surprised if there would be a "upgraded" ride either after this ship is shown in the movies.
