Star Wars Spin-Off OBI-WAN KENOBI: Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram & Deborah Chow

The new STAR WARS Spin-Off Limited Series OBI-WAN KENOBI is set 10 years after the events of STAR WARS EPISODE 3: REVENGE OF THE SITH and 9 years prior STAR WARS EPISODE 4: A NEW HOPE and tells the story of how the broken OBI-WAN KENOBI, who lost his best friend ANAKIN SKYWALKER to the dark side of the force, became the wise BEN KENOBI.
In the interview with MEL DESCHKE, actor EWAN MCGREGOR reveals how much of SIR ALEC GUINNESS is still in this version of OBI-WAN KENOBI, after he portrayed him for so long. You also get to know how director DEBORAH CHOW convinced HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN to come back as DARTH VADER, after the harsh criticism he received for the prequels. And talking about harsh: MOSES INGRAM, who plays the THIRD SISTER REVA, tells our reporter about the difficulties of lightsaber training and how she celebrated her birthday on the stagecraft set THE VOLUME.

What I really appreciate about this interviewer is that she actually listens to them and asks follow up questions based on their answers. You don’t always see that with junket interviews.

Probably my favorite interview with the cast and this is the first time I have seen DEBORAH CHOW and she knows the clone wars and the lore we should be in good hands as for the new character who hasn't seen SW new fans are always welcome I just hope she does good job playing this new Inquisitor

Sehr tolles Interview, vorallem der Part von Deborah Chow war sehr cool, sie scheint ja wirklich sehr deep in der Lore zu sein, das ist immer vielversprechend. Hoffe auch dass die Schauspielerin von Reva einen guten Start in die Star Wars Welt hat, manche Superfans sind da ja leider immer mega kritisch. Haydens Blick bei der Frage mit dem Sand war auch genial, hab ich gefeiert 👍😂

Endlich zuende geguckt. Tolles, entspanntes Interview. Ich fand ja Hayden Christensen erstaunlich sympatisch, der macht ein bisschen den Eindruck, als hätte er im Leben viel erleiden müssen, vermutlich aufgrund der schweren Rolle, die er mit Vader spielen musste. Und nun Vorfreude auf Obiwan

5:08 Ich hoffe, dass Hayden Christensen in der „Obi-Wan Kenobi“-Serie versuchen wird, sich an der Version von Anakin Skywalker zu orientieren, die in den animierten Serien von Star Wars präsentiert worden ist. Die Charakterzeichnungen von Anakin Skywalker in der Prequel-Trilogie und den animierten SW-Serien unterscheidet sich schon sehr stark. Mir persönlich gefiel die Darstellung von Anakin Skywalker in den animierten SW-Serien deutlich mehr als in der Prequel-Trilogie.

I like the questions in this video but I agree that 90% of all interviews are incredibly boring. The actors aren't allowed to tell anything actually interesting because they could spoil details and most of the time you feel they'd rather be somewhere else. Apparently most of the funny or actually interesting questions the interviewers plan to ask get rejected by the actors agents which is why the interviews are always dry and have the same questions

Freue mich auf die Serie, habe selbst gestern endlich mal Fallen Order durchgespielt, lt. Timeline liegt das Spiel genau zwischen Episode 3 und der Obi Wann Serie. Nächstes Jahr soll Teil 2 kommen und die Moses spielt ja scheinbar die 3. Schwester, im Spiel trifft man ja auf die 2. & 9. Da bin ich doch gespannt ob Cal Erwähnung findet ;) Ich frag mich immer nur woher kommen die ganzen Bösewichte, eigentlich hat Anakin ja die Kinder getötet und plötzlich tauchen einige auf die zu Inquisitoren wurden, wann hat Palpatine das denn gemacht. Und bis Episode 4 gibt's ja dann nur noch Vader.

Viele der Inquisitoren sind ehemalige Jedi, welche sich Palpatine entweder kurz vor der Order 66 oder danach angeschlossen haben. (Es ist auch möglich, dass manche der Inquisitoren als Kinder nach der Order 66 entführt worden sind und von Klein auf als Inquisitoren ausgebildet worden sind.) Was mit allen Inquisitoren einzeln passiert, ist nicht bekannt. Viele sind in unterschiedlichen Medien bisher gestorben. Zum Beispiel, vier Inquisitoren starben in der Serie „Star Wars Rebels“. (Darunter auch der Grossinquisitor und der fünfte Bruder, welche in der „Kenobi“-Serie auftauchen werden.) Andere Inquisitoren starben aber auch in anderen Medien wie in Büchern (z. Bsp. der Ahsoka-Roman) und Comics (Vader-Comics). „Bis Episode 4 gibt‘s ja nur noch Vader“: Korrekt. Das Imperium hält die Mitglieder der imperialen Inquisition für Tod. Viele sind schon gestorben. Viele werden noch folgen. Aber wer weiss, vielleicht täuscht ein Inquisitor seinen Tod vor und taucht unter? Dann könnte dieser immer noch nach Episode 4 weiterleben … Freundliche Grüsse

Sehr oft wenn Schauspieler so berühmte Charactere verkörpern und dann davon erzählen wie sie sich vorbereiten indem sie die Filme nochmal gucken und Comics lesen und BlaBlaBla hab ich das Gefühl das die das nur sagen weil es gut klingt. Hayden und Ewan sind aber 2 denen ich das sogar abkaufe. Ich hab natürlich voll Bock auf die beiden. Aber ich bleibe skeptisch wegen Dinsey. Der Trailer hat mich auch nicht sehr angefuchst :/

Remember guys, when this movie fails, don’t hate on the actors. Hate on the writers/directors/etc. Dave Filoni gave so much praise to Deborah Chow but remember George Lucas also gave so much praises to Kathleen Kennedy before she took on Star Wars and look how that turned out.

For an actor, Moses does a really bad job of selling her interest in the prequels or the franchise. Like Kelly Marie Tran all over again. I don't know why actors choose to work on something like Star Wars when they have no real interest in it. But most of all, I don't know why they don't pretend to be a fan of it, if they're not. Or at least try to say something with enthusiasm about the characters, or Lucas or Williams...

I think you are miss reading her. Not all actors who been in SW have the same level of fandom. She is been a professional, engaging with the questions and polite. She's answering all the questions honestly. That's refreshing. I rather have that then someone who is pretending to like something and over hype it.

@@drnobody418 Listen to the energy coming off Kelly before TLJ. It's the same. She spends more time talking about how other people feel about Star Wars. She doesn't have to be a huge fan, or lie, but she could sell her enthusiasm more. She chooses not to. Her choice. But I don't see it winning over many fans. Notice how Hayden or Ewan mention Lucas when they talk about the prequels. It's as if actors under the Disney era don't even want to mention his name. If you've heard Hayden talking about how he felt when got the part the prequels, and how people responded to that you'd understand.

@@Ruylopez778 that's more then likely the PR team telling her what to expect and say. It's s bummer how they are setting her up like so. But that's not far fetch from what happens when black actors get cast in SW these days. John Boyega had that backlash from racist fans HEAVLY at first. I've already come across a handful of assholes already making unnecessary racist comments towards her character or the actress. I get what you're saying. Maybe her enthusiasm is held back because one, she's not really that big of a a fan. This is a big gig for her so she's coming into interviews in a collective, professional, actor mind set. Two, the wired pressure she has on her shoulders with so many different expectations that are ridiculous. And three, maybe her energy as a person is more calming then what your expect. Or idk, men. Maybe I'm just typing out of my butt here. I'm just here waiting to see what her character will do for the story. Everything else is just lousy background noise.

@@drnobody418 Tran and Ingram both frame their characters through a lens of diversity. It's all gaslighting by LF. LF try to frame it all as racism, desperately want to use this to excuse the negativity against the sequels as being the fans' fault, despite the backlash against Lucas, LLoyd and Christensen, and later JJ and RJ and KK. I don't remember seeing any racism over Carl Weathers, Ming-Na Wen, Rosario Dawson, Samuel L Jackson, Donald Glover. A lot of fans hated Snoke (once he was made useless and irrelevant), portrayed by a white male. It's all very well waiting to see what the story is and what the character is, but again, she could have come out and talked about what a kick-ass character she is, and drawn some comparisons with others in the franchise. Ex: she could say, "Ahsoka and Leia are fan favourites. And I hope I've channeled some of that assertive, capable, headstrong nature in my character." That would get fans hyped. But no. I haven't seen her give any comment like that. Just praising her fellow actors and Chow. Fair enough that is her experience. But already this press is headed in the direction of; 'these are the things about Star Wars we need to change', just like the sequels.
