It's so hard to listen to this without tearing up. Leia's theme was so calming, and her presence on screen had the same exact effect. We miss you Carrie, we love you. Rest in peace.

I think what makes this theme so good is how feminine and innocent it sounds. It captures Leila’s beauty inside and out. I’m not sure how Williams does the magic he does when he expresses the essence of a character so perfectly. Maybe the force?

Absolutely. It’s yet another example of Maestro William’s singular gift. His musical will be studied 200 yrs from now as classical music

when i was six years old i used to hear this tune again and again on cassette and imagine myself as a character in star wars flying in the falcon at light speed , i used to make guns from paper and keep them in my pocket those were my laser blasters. it was all real for me. my dad used to point to the sky and say you are from that star and then he used to tell me a story of space travel deep into the stars with characters from star wars. now im 48 and still look at those stars and those star wars are still in my mind.

Princess Leia's Theme is transcendent of genre, to stand as peer amongst the finest of classical music. This grand performance is the closest to John Williams's conducting that I have heard. A rousing standing ovation to all!

I was six years old when I watched my first Star Wars movie, wich was A new Hope. And I kinda fell in love with princess Leia. I knew I could never actually be with her, but since then, I always had a special connection with this theme. It was also the song I heard during my first kiss. The soundtrack of Star Wars will still be amazing, even when I grow older. I‘m only turning 21 this year, but I know that these films and this amazing soundtrack will always have a place in my heart

For me this is the high point of John Williams' original Star Wars suite. The main theme is well defined yet peppered with the most beautiful breakdowns and flourishes, it ebbs and flows magically, and when it rises to its climactic height it swells and swirls with such beauty and emotion that never fails to move me to tears. It is a masterpiece.
