After attempting to capture Count Dooku, Captain Rex, Obi-wan Kenobi and the men of the 501st have found themselves deep behind enemy lines, with no support and waves of droids soon to descend upon them. Seeking to change their fortunes and seize the initiative, they mount up with what few vehicles they have left, and cut straight towards the republic front line. If they can breakthrough, they will hit the main separatist army in the flank, and allow their clone brothers in the republic spearhead to capture the critical droid foundries. But with smoke billowing into their air from their downed gunship, their current position is well known, so they opt the fastest route through Death Valley, a wide ravine cutting deep behind the droid front line.
But it is no feeble battle droid marshalling the CIS defences, but the tactical supremacy of TA-17. Predicting Rex and Kenobi’s approach vector, he has taken charge of the response himself and set the ultimate trap, deploying his finest commandoes and droid ordance to lay in ambush. If his calculations are correct not a single speeder will reach the Republic Forces.
But General Kenobi and Captain Rex are no ordinary soldiers. This is the Republic’s chance to shut down this conflict and maintain peace and order throughout the galaxy. The burden may fall to a just few good men, but the force is with them.

As a 40k player you're really tempting me... especially because the whole reason I chose Tau was to recreate the sleek Clone Trooper look in my army. Great models, great camerawork, great gameplay. Fabulous! Really brings back the childhood memories.

Highly recommend as someone who plays both. Rules cleaner and faster than 40k and you don’t need four large books to constantly flip through, and don’t need to constantly consider 30 different strategems. Alternating activations is also very cool and more tactical than 40k

I ship out for basic training in a month and I’ll be honest one of my biggest fears was that I would leave before part 3 came out and I’d have to wait months before I could even check if it came out. Thank god it’s here

As I commented on the first video, this is the first time i see Star Wars Legion Battle reports, and wow it is high quality here I love everything ! From the minis to the editing to the scenarios (very interesting variations !), including the way you play which allowed me to understand a lot of rules for a game I haven't yet bought I think i'm falling in love with this game though, been playing warhammer age of sigmar for some years but wow, a (affordable) star wars wargame will get me instantly back to childhood ! Hyped to see how this campaign continues !

Whilst I am not a huge Star Wars fan, always preferred fantasy over sci-fi, I have really enjoyed this narrative series and the way you have presented it; not only showing the action but explaining the thought process throughout so there is more understanding for non Legion players like myself. I wish there was a big interest in this game locally to me as I would probably jump in and start playing.

The fact that the entirety of the Republic gets those obnoxious red dice for immense durability while the droids have to suffer with white dice or a few reds. Really makes it an uphill battle for separatist players

Separatist units are much cheaper though. Not to mention in this battle most of the the units have red saves.

Now here's a question for the man himself: as a fan of both the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game and Star Wars: Legion, why hasn't anyone tried to come up with "Battle Companies" rules for Star Wars, yet? Narrative Campaigns would be astounding, with a good spoonful of Progression for those nameless Clones, I daresay!

Great video, quality and composition. I think one of the rules overlooked was the Weak Point: Sides, regarding the GAR tank. I cannot wait for more!

Each time the GAR got hit in the side we applied the impact bonus, but most of the time because of my positioning and strafing I JUST managed to keep the AAT in my front arc :) But glad you enjoyed it buddy!

Awesome game, really love the way you used the Commando droid ambush potential in the scenario. And the tank action. Soo good. Obi may have died, minute 58, when the STAPs shot him. I think you forgot to use the aim. I am happy, cause Obi survived, but it might have changed the outcome.

They made a point of mentioning that Jacko did an aim on the first stap unit before shooting obi wan then proceeded to completely ignore it when it could've changed the outcome. That's gotta keep you up at night 😬😬😂😂

Despite most of this being home brewed it still feels so balanced! Anyone could win even on the last turn of the game. These are so much fun to watch - I can’t wait for the next one after hearing about some spider droid shenanigans that may be taking place

Ooooooh so you've heard that too aye ;) Yeah I really pride myself on trying to right narrative immersive games that are BALANCED, or at least only slightly skewed one way in favour of theme. It might feel like one outcome is slightly more likely but both players need a good chance! Thanks you mate

It’s nice to see some vehicle v vehicle action, it’s rare to see that in other legion battle reports. Good touch! *spoilers ahead* As a sep supporter, I will admit I was a bit disappointed obiwan survived by the nick of his skin but Ey, he’ll probably be in a wheel chair next one, can’t wait for the next one. I got an idea for a future Star Wars legion video, since you guys like doing custom campaigns I think it would be neat if you guys did a heroes vs villains themed battle where the big names of each side (light and dark) from each era come together to combat their rivals, I think that would be a great idea.
