Well, they have done similar things before, demilitarize the Jedi after the 5th Battle of Ruusan, abandon the use of combat armor. You would think that after the return of the Sith Empire and the Treaty of Coruscant, they would have learned to not drop their guard.

William Signs actually it was the rule of two Sith who spent their entire life using Sith alchemy to cloud the vision of the Jedi and Plagueis spread a shitload of darkness in micichlorians throughout the galaxy, so Plagueis completely clouded the Jedi minds, Plagueis did everything we saw in the movies, but Palpatine killed Plagueis and took the work for himself the way Tarkin took the credit for having a Death Star instead of Krennic, and Palpatine was just chancellor who told the clones what to do, meanwhile the Jedi were like the Sith of the old Republic and the clones were the same, F is the 6th letter kg the alphabet execute order 66 execute order FF execute order friendly fire that's how the Jedi and clones killed each other (and majority of winners being the clones) if only Qui Gon were here to tell that the Grey Jedi have a clear vision of the Force and that it takes more than Vaapad and shatterpoint

+Nick Arriaga You're absolutely right there. Sidious started the Clone Wars to blind the Jedi by flooding their Force senses with the upheaval of millions/billions of deaths at once. The rise of hatred and darkness in the galaxy kept them blind to his real plan for years, until it was far too late to stop him. Darth Plagueis concocted the plan. Sidious executed it brilliantly. In Attack of the Clones, Windu was wrong when he said that Jedi weren't soldiers. They HAD been, at one point, but it was the lack of a galactic war for over a millenia that ultimately weakened them. They had no tolerance, no resistance to the corrupting effects conflict would bring. Hence why Barriss fell to the Dark Side and the future became clouded for everyone in the Order. Conflict breeds strength, a lesson Jaster Mereel and Jango Fett's True Mandalorians learned well and Satine's New Mandalorians forgot, hence why the latter were wiped off the map with a single wave of Sith manipulation. There is a reason full-fledged Jedi are called Knights, and the Council forgot that.

Because like 5min after this scene Anakin chases down Asajj Ventress with his hood up and fights with anger and hatred and force chokes her for like a solid 2 minutes while trying to get answers about who setup Ashoka. Force choking is a dark side use of the force and Jedi are not allowed to use it. Seeing Anakin use the dark side of the force so violently and strongly immediately after this scene where Ashoka is expelled from the Jedi order basically shows he could no longer trust the Jedi order fully and started to deeply resent them, which Palpatine was already convincing Anakin of before this happen. This was like the final nail in the coffin, without Ashoka by Anakin's side because of the Jedi betraying her, Anakin had little sympathy left for the Jedi order.

@Obi-Wan_Kenobi3 жыл бұрын
That movie was dead wrong about pretty much everything. It has the audacity to say this when the Jedi were literally the one standing in the way of the Sith ruling the galaxy and defeating the Empire. Who stopped the Trade Federation invasion? The Jedi Who saved Padme's life? The Jedi. Who stood in the way of the Sith immediately taking over the galaxy? The Jedi. Who defeated Count Dooku? The Jedi. Who defeated Anakin Skywalker, forever crippling him and preventing him for reaching his full, unstoppable potential? The Jedi. Who rescued the princess? The Jedi Who blew up the Death Star? The Jedi (Luke used the Force) Who saved Han Soll from Jabba? The Jedi. Who redeemed Darth Vader? The Jedi. Who killed the Emperor? The Jedi (Luke brought back Anakin who defeated Sidious) Who ultimately defeated the Empire and fretted the Galaxy? THE JEDI. So say that "legacy of the Jedi is failure, hypocrisy, hubris” is a *bold face lie.* It ignores everything that happened in the original 6 Episodes of Star Wars and anyone who believes that quote either hasn't seen any of the movies or doesn't care to remember what actually happened in them.

@@Obi-Wan_Kenobiyou clearly didn't understand the movie. At the end of TLJ, Luke himself says that he will not be the last Jedi. When Luke said that, that's when he was disappointed in everything, but then he realized the reality. Of how wrong he was. When Yoda tells him that failure is the best teacher, he not only reminds us of Luke, but of the order too. The order made mistakes, it's obvious. This scene is proof of that. Therefore, in the end Luke realizes that the Jedi must not finish, but learn from their mistakes and not make them again. I understand that you are not going to like the movie, but perhaps understanding the message really in what Luke said (who later the same movie proves that he was wrong) can perhaps make you see it from another angle. Although for me, all this great message is totally put aside in episode ix

I literally don’t see how Ahsoka didn’t break down crying at this point. Not only did she go through so much to try to prove her innocence, not only did she helplessly watch as Letta Turmand died in front of her, not only was the council refusing to look at all the evidence with unbiased eyes but on top of ALL of it, she’s being kicked out of the only place she’s ever been able to call home, the place where all of her mentors and friends and “family” were, the place where she grew up. She knows the council has turned their back on her, she knows that the entire temple probably thought the same thing as the council until it was proven otherwise, she knows that her only hope is Ani and maybe Padme if she’s able to convince the courts of her innocence. The fact that she’s able to remain so composed even though she feels utterly distraught is something I will forever admire. Her entire world is crumbling yet she doesn’t shed a tear, she lets herself feel what she needs to feel but she also keeps her head up and faces the next stage of “justice” with grace and poise (Also, I hate how Mace says Ahsoka’s last name. It’s pronounced “taw-no” not “tah-no”)

"I've come to realize what many people in the Republic have come to realize, that the Jedi are the ones responsible for this war. That we've so lost our way that we have become villains in this conflict, that we are the ones that should be put on trial, all of us! And my attack on the Temple was an attack on what the Jedi have become: an army fighting for the dark side, fallen from the Light that we once held so dear. This Republic is failing! It's only a matter of time." Hearing this and what Ahsoka went though was what made her realize the Jedi were more about politics then following the Will of the Force. "Barriss Offee was wrong about a lot of things. She let her anger cloud her judgement and she tried to justify her actions without considering their wider effects. She was afraid of the war and she didn't trust people she should've listened to. But she had a point about the Republic and the Jedi. There was something wrong with them, and we were too locked into our traditions to see what it was. Barriss should've done something else. She shouldn't have killed anyone, and she definitely shouldn't have framed me for it, but if we'd listened to her-really listened-we might have been able to stop Palpatine before he took power." It was because of these mistakes on the Council that led to it's fall and the Sith's rise to power. If only Qui-Gon Jinn was alive, he could've stopped it from happening.

Like Ahsoka in this case, she ran away from prison which just basically shows that she was indeed responsible and guilty and doesn't help her at all in this situation. The evidence levied against her just increased during and after her escape; she was seen with dead troopers sliced with a weapon she held, she was seen with a known criminal and Separatist assassin Asajj Ventress and of course was found at the site where the explosives were used to bomb the temple. The Jedi Council had no choice but to expel her, otherwise the people and Senate would've had a legitimate cause to further insult the Jedi because in their view "They are harboring a criminal just because she is a Jedi," or "They think they're above the law!"
