The thing i didn't like about the prequels is how they heavily used CGI for all their effects. There were no sets or locations to shoot from. No practical effects whatsoever. When you watch the whole film you don't feel any connection to it nothing felt real, sure there were costumes but what about the creatures in the background? nope all CGI and green screen, no realism whatsoever plus the script was campy at best. Episode 2 too much emphasis on the romance between anakin and padme, everyone knows they fall in love and get married but Lucas put too many scenes on it. Watch the difference between Episode 2 and Empire Strikes back, you will see the difference in how the flow of the story was going with the romance between han and leia. I was born the same year Return of the Jedi came out but i still loved the Original films more than the prequels.

Mad Max has loads of CGI used for backgrounds, the storm and to enhance various crashes/people falling off stuff. But it's respected because a lot of it is practical. And this looks like it's got great amount of practical stuff, unlike the prequels which was just stuff on a green screen.

Arturo Casab - I agree. The prequels had a tonne of issues - but I found the way it weaved the whole story together fascinating. Its just a shame that the movies were so poorly done. Had Lucas had been reined in and not had so much power over it all, they would have been incredible. Still - I enjoy watching them from time to time, whiney psycho Anakin and all :) Especially love Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan.

The CGI Clone Wars show was so frigging necessary for the characters. In the prequel movies we never saw the great Jedi knight Obi-Wan spoke of to Luke, we just saw a whiny brat. And Ahsoka is definitely among the best characters that wasn't in any of the movies, along with Cad Bane, Darth Bane, Darth Revan, Ferus Olin, Mara Jade, Ventress, Darth Zannah, and Savage Opress.

Danex21 I loved the whiny Anakin because he was hilarious. Just think about it like that and look up Anakin's darkside or something like that its about when he killed the tuskens the first time.

Danex21 I agree with everything you said except that they should remake the prequels. The entire plot of the prequels was just set up for the original movies. But that set up wasn't needed, or they would have made the prequels first. Obi Wan said in the originals that Darth Vader lost his way, became evil, and turned on the Jedi to found the Empire. That's almost the entire plot of the first 3 movies summed up in a couple of sentences. There really wasn't much to go on. If it was made right, it could have still been great or at least good, but ultimately I think they have better material to work with then rehashing the prequels.
