Thank you, appreciate it! :) There's no one-method formula, basically I just look at what works best for a specific part of the audio. A 5.1 mix of the trailer helped for some parts but others needed a lot of custom work, combination of audio effects, frequency editing, audio channel switching with adjustment for phase issues and more...

I wouldn't expect it. Custom trailer music, which this appears to be as well, is rarely ever released. :/

But I really wanna know how you edited this. Usually, when someone talks in the trailer, the music isn't so loud anymore, but here it's not the case. And how is the audio of the music so good? There's just no way you made this with Audacity.

The volume balancing can be done with any A/V editing software supporting volume envelopes. I also added a bunch of audio FX and did some regular editing, both of which can also be done with most A/V editing software. In my case that's Sony Vegas because I'm just used to its UI but I'm sure there are plenty of alternatives. ;)

Pretty much always the case with trailer music. Trailer music is produced by different parties than the soundtrack, mostly the soundtrack isn't even finished by the time the trailer needs a track. I assume the legal situation is also very different from the soundtrack that is directly commissioned by the film's production team instead of the separate trailer house that makes the trailer. The one and only exception to the rule that I know is Confidential Music's track from the Suicide Squad trailer, but that was the movie that was edited in part by the marketing team, so that's a different beast altogether anyway.^^

Yeah, but that's pretty much the usual piece of information for these trailers, especially Star Wars and big franchise sequels - it mostly is an interpolation of the existing themes. Doesn't really narrow it down for this one either unfortunately, it's all theme-based :/

Because it's trailer music done by a third party (see the description). Trailer music is always it's separate thing and you won't ever find it on the soundtrack. The only exception ever I've seen to that was the cover of "I Started A Joke" that Confidential Music produced for the Suicide Squad trailer. It was extremely popular and ended up being released on the "Suicide Squad" album (the song album, not the score) - even though the version you can buy on the album differs a little from the one Confidential Music put on KZfaq originally.

Actually, It's a composition of various themes in the OST, except one, the one after "Lucasfilm". That is a variation of a part in "The Spark" (2:30 time mark) that reproduces and ends in another part (1:10 time mark) of the "Jedi Steps" theme of "The Force Awakens" movie.
