Protected by the legendary Jedi Order, the Galactic Republic stood as a bastion of peace in the galaxy for a thousand generations. Several centuries ago, the greatest threat the galaxy has ever known emerged in the form of the dark Sith Empire. After a volatile war, the Republic emerged victorious and the Sith were assumed to be extinct. Nonetheless, the Jedi have maintained a constant vigil over the ancient Sith homeworld, to protect the galaxy from the darkness that still resides in the planet's tombs.
The Battle of Alderaan. The Republic's gravest hour. Recently promoted to Darth, Malgus launches the first of many surprise attacks that would become his trademark during the Great War, perfectly timing the assault with a feint that pulls the Republic fleet light-years away. Thousands of assault droids and hundreds of Sith set the heart of the Republic ablaze, and Alderaan's few defenders are swept away with ease. Unknown to Darth Malgus, small groups of Republic Troopers are stationed on Alderaan, some recovering from wounds, others are awaiting orders. As these brave soldiers take to the forests and mountains to fight a guerilla campaign against Malgus's forces, the Republic fleet rushes back to repel the invasion. With time running out and Alderaan's capitol threatened, it falls to Havoc Squad, the elite Republic Special Forces unit, to coordinate one last desperate stand against Malgus' vastly superior numbers.

Yeah, the Star Wars movie fight scenes probably were choreographed by the same people that choreographed power rangers. The last 3 movies fight scenes were incredibly boring. The Last Jedi fight scene vs all the red dudes was 100% power ranger style. Obi wan vs Darth Maul was the best fight scene in any Star Wars movie in my opinion.

At 10:10 that is by far one of the best star wars scenes every made. The realistic explosion gunshots and just the how the troopers had no sense of danger or worry of death but just heroically charging to their death and single handedly taking down sith.

The OG Sith, as in the father in this video, Vitiate/Valkorian, was the strongest sith emperor to ever exist and he led a Sith Empire, as in an empire where the ruling class are the Sith Lords. The fact of the matter is that if you get every Sith and Jedi and line them all up, they won't all be equally as powerful, the great ones shine and lead the battles, like Malgus, any that aren't strong will die. They're not like the Jedi, they don't go "ooof, too weak, you're better off left on the this farm." The Sith are more like "Even if you're not strong enough to lift a pebble, you go and you learn the ways of the Sith, and if you die, get crushed by your allies or friends, fall down along the way or fall under the foot of your betters then you'll have failed and won't matter anyway." A Sith's strength comes from their emotions, meaning pain, love and loss are all things that make Sith stronger, therefore, throw them all in the pressure cooker and let's see the strongest rise to the top and the weakest be cannon fodder for the Republic.

@@danielwanger5919Darth Bane made the rule of 2 so there would be a system in place that would encourage strength and there would be fewer sith but much stronger ones. It’s not because there were more sith because there were still strong ones such as Darth Malgus but it was the system that the sith used.

Just in case anyone else wants to know who the characters are: the "King" is Valkorion, the "Queen" (mom) is Senya Tirall, the little girl (daughter) is Vaylin, the twin brothers are Thaxan (in black) and Arcann (in white), the soldier is Jace Malcom, the bald pale Sith Lord is Darth Malgus, the woman with double-bladed lightsaber is Satele Shan, the guy at the temple is Ven Zallow, the blue girl is Eleena Daru, the bounty hunter is Shae Vizla, the guy with horns is Kao Cen Darach, the smuggler is Nico Okarr, and the red guy is Vindican.

I think the entire Star Wars fan-base is living on the hope that Star Wars will one day look like this. If a full length, quality trilogy was made looking like this you would have people queuing, sleeping outside the theaters, like they did in the past. @The Four Horsemen Wrong. Lets do the math. The Rise of Skywalker had a run time 142 minutes and a budget of 275 Million. The industry standard is $250,000 per minute of published animation at this level, but lets be generous and say 1 million per minute. That still puts this theoretical movie at 142 million dollars on animation. That still leaves 133 million dollars for other production expenses. It is not beyond feasibility.

GOD DAMN This 23 minutes should be mandatory viewing for anyone working on star wars. It's distinct and feels far more modern and flashy than the originals without giving up the core feel of star wars. Every battle in these cinematics feels unique and real. The chaos in the background feels fluid and structured even though its supposed to be background scenary. The best way to describe it is to look at this compared to the battle of geonosis. Sure geonosis has some cool background moments but the fact that most of the people there were untrained extras in suits that barely moved really took away from the idea that we are watching an elite fighting force go up against an unstoppable army. The way every single jedi and sith moved together and in sync during the fight was absolutely amazing and I 100% believed the idea that everyone on that battle field has precognition (which is the intention with the jedi and sith fights and is why the best are usually not just the most flashy. Obi wan and mauls final fight is the best example)

Even The Last Jedi wasn't completely crap, Rey isn't that bad first, if you think about all; e.g. she was a good stickfighter when we watch her the first time, but later the don't use a double light saber. But the last 2 movies totally ruined it all.

Imagine Luke and Rey vs Snoke and Kylo Ren. Luke tells Rey she must walk a different path and leave to unite the Galaxy, and she throws a duel bladed saber to him as she leaves and we get to see Luke fighting two guys with his green saber and a double-bladed in the other hand, killing Snoke and letting Kylo kill him (instead of Han Solo) just like Obi Wan let Vader kill him while Luke left, but for Rey.

I like how the animators incorporate different fighting styles for characters instead of just opting for generic style: - Malgus is tall and bulky, so style 5 (heavy and precise strikes + fully utilizing the users's strength and stamina to deflect lightsaber blows) suits him. However, since his dueling style has no way of countering force ability such as telekinesis, he lost. - Satele was given a combination of form 4 (acrobatic movement + rapid strikes and deflects due to her superior agility and smaller statue) and form 6 (heavy use of force ability, probably taught and refined by her master)

What's crazy is at time this was pre-rendered CGI cutscenes that probably took hours and hours to render. But nowadays this could probably run in realtime with the right tweaking and optimizations.
