And they said people were overhyped back in the day, yet 25 years later, we see true fans enjoying this film.

Unironically my favorite Star Wars film, and I was so glad to see it again in theaters.

I went to the cinema today like 25 years ago with my dad. Today i was with my dad again and my son! Star Wars brings generations together. It was my kids first visit to a cinema.❤❤❤

I remember seeing it when it first released in theaters in 1999 and loving it as a kid

I was 11 when it was released in theaters in May of 1999. I saw it 6 times that summer and each time was better than the last! Watching Duel of the Fates for the first time on the big screen was a like religious experience.

I seen it in my local cinema today and it’s still great I remember years ago going to see it in 3D that might even have been the 15 year anniversary

This was the first Star Wars movie I saw in theaters. I watched it in Imax, in the very center of the theater, and it was my first Imax movie too. My mind was blown.

It's been 25 years since I saw this movie in theaters! What a perfect way to celebrate Star Wars day! Can't wait!

Being a huge fan probably since birth (I was born in 1977 when Star Wars came out) 😊 I've always loved this movie mostly because I anticipated it ever since the original trilogy got named episodes 4,5&6... we were all like "ok... when do we get 1,2&3 please? 😅 QUI GON JIN IS A LEGEND!

I Saw it tonight!!! It was So Awesome to see it on The Big Screen!!!!!! My Theater had a Costume Contest and I was Dressed as Darth Vader and It was So Cool! As Someone who never saw it when it came out, This is an Experience I'll never forget! May The Fourth Be With You All!!!

Loved seeing it in theatres again felt like I went through a time machine. Phantom Menace was one of the very first Star Wars movies i saw in cinema when it came out in 1999.

I saw it yesterday. I was 2 when it hit theaters in 1999, so I have no memory of seeing it. It was a cool experience, seeing the podrace and hearing the music. I got chills with the former, as the sound was perfect to hear in a theater.

I just got back from seeing it with my two Star Wars loving work friends. I’ve never seen it in theaters before and it was definitely more epic. The sound design is definitely more impressive in theaters. Like my seat was literally vibrating during the pod racing scene. And the sound of the light sabers clashing hit much harder. Like you could really feel and hear the weight behind each blow. And of course the music was outstanding. Duel of the Fates will never get old.

The Phantom Menace was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I am now 18 and to see this opening day for the 25th anniversary made me feel like I was a little kid again. Thank you for literally being one of my favorite memories and just apart of my life Star Wars. I genuinely cannot thank you enough ❤️❤️❤️

The costumes. I got to see the Queen and Padres outfits in person as they toured the US. The detail and excellent workmanship… I’ll never forget it.

Compared to all of Disney Star Wars The Phantom Menace looks like a Oscar winning classic. I love it!

Seeing it this past weekend took me back to opening weekend in 1999 when I begged my mom to take me. 25 years later, still love it! Having grown up in the 90s with nothing but the VHS copies of the Original Trilogy, seeing Star Wars on the big screen was a religious experience. Please Disney, keep the movies coming. True fans will always come together & celebrate the galaxy far, far away!

1999...I was in the line at the movie theater, it was the premiere (almost at midnight). My parents didn't have lots of money, but they did their best to get the tickets. Such a wonderful night. Everybody there was enjoying everything. The podrace looked incredible in the big screen, and oh man, the sound effects and volume!!! The lightsaber duel with the two jedis and Darth Maul, so far it's my favorite lightsaber duel.

I watched it 5 times 25 years ago. My son (Anakin) was born 3 years later. And we watched the movie together, on TV when he was 2 and a half; he loved it. Now on the theater he was blown away. And so did I, once again.

I watched in theaters few days ago, first time on big screen with my son. Everything was perfect before start of the movie and then movie operator came to the hall and said we have technical problems with original movie on English. And asked us will we be watching German version. Ee got free ice cream for that inconvenience.
