This is an archived news report of The Phantom Menace opening night in 1999. First in line is Ron Brewer, my dad. The pregnancy that they're announcing is me. They later went on to name me Ben Kenobi, with Kenobi being my middle name.
So some backstory to this news report, my dad waited in line for three days, technically. The first day he waited in line by himself, but went home that night. The second day though is when he camped there that night. While in line, my mom announced that he was going to be a dad. The manager of the theater over heard the news and called the news reporters. After the news was broadcasted, my parents managed to get a hold of a VHS tape copy of the news report. Over 20 years later we finally got around to converting the tape to digital.
