"This is all I've got, is this, so, how can I become anything else? I'll give you all of it, but it's all I've got." 23:07 STRAIGHT POETRY AND A FINE PIECE OF TRUTH. Not just for acting, but for life, too. I'm really impressed with James' eloquence, intelligence and passion about everything. Phenomenal actor in a phenomenal movie, I'm a huge fan and I hope he gets 10x the recognition he deserves.

(Yok) 16:57 : James : "She is Patricia, she doesnt think she is... She definitly is..." interviewer "Think she is...?" James : "No she IS a different person Interviewer : "For her, that a shift... James :" No ! Not just for her, for everybody. She's a different person. She shares..., she's plural..., she lives plurally with other people within one body but she is a different person". James McAvoy. That's why we love you. I am myself. I share my body with other people. And we're all so glad to hear you say that. Thank you. Thank you so much. Telling an alter "which part are you from the original... ?"... kinda means for us "how much are you only a broken part ?". Alters evolve. They don't stay broken. Each of them live things. Each of them thinks. Each of them have wants, needs.... etcetera. Cogito ergo sum. I think therefore I am. So, if each of us think, even for those who are just internal-self-helpers (don't take control over the body), we all think different things. So we are different people. We are aware we got only one body. We are aware we have to share one life time on earth. We are aware that if someone in the system does something wrong, everybody should go to jail. Because sharing is our way of life. But there is one thing that we doesn't share : our souls. (call it consciousness, want, life, chi, soul, spirit... anyways, each alter thinks.) I'm so glad. For all DID systems. For all OSDD1 systems too ^^ For every people living with mental multiplicity not fitting well the diagnosis. I'm so glad to hear a singlet respecting us. (singlet means "one person in one body", meaning 99% of those who would read my comment ^^)

James never ceases to amaze. I've been a fan for 10+ years, but only now I got to binge-watching interviews, because he's so relaxed and profound at the same time. Things he says make you think and look at stuff differently. I've already watched Split, but I think I want to watch it again after this interview. I think I understand the angle better now and will be able to enjoy it even more second time around. Betty and Anya are also quite pleasant, haven't seen them outside of films before. Interesting women. The only thing I didn't like about this interview is the interviewer. Yes, he seems like an expert on Shyamalan, but he also seems to be missing the point of the film completely. I also got a feeling he doesn't like James very much, so Betty and Anya had to ask him stuff themselves, because this guy wouldn't.

29:52 We don't have DID (we're more OSDD1B, which means almost the same disorder, but without amnesia between switches. Easier to remember things, but easier to hear many people talking at the same time, in your own head. So... yeah, we took 10 years to build some harmony and to listen well to each other ^^) and, we would have loved to meet you before this movie ^^ People with DID tend to hide themselves. Most of the time, you won't recognise them just by looking at them. Our father lives with us and he doesn't know about it. In june, it will be 12 years he doesn't know... Why hiding ? Personnally : Because telling our father about multiplicity means telling him about the trauma. And we still don't agree inside this head about telling him or not. Imagine Barry telling his fahter "hi, i'm not Kevin, Kevin doesn't want to talk to you, but I'm here, I'm Barry and I love you, would you want to be my father ?" That's strange. And that could hurt him. So... we hide '-' (at home. We keep talking about it on internet though... kinda make us feel free to be ourselves somewhere). How people with DID hide ? By building a social mask. Just like everybody does in life. We all "play the same character" which is the identity we're born with. It hurts us. But it hurts less than being mocked, being ignored, being called a freak or a liar. So yeah. DID people can build a realistic lie not face what they scared to face. Moreover : people with DID with strong amnesia can live with DID without being aware of it. They will just think "I was in bed in the morning, and now its 11pm. What did I do ?" and someone would tell them what they did in the day and they're be like "ok, I just have amnesia problems" when in reality, an alter they don't know would have switched. DID can be invisible. It's almost impossible to tell if someone has DID or if it's not real. Only people living it can tell for themselves, when they know, + psychiatrists. Anya Taylor Joy could have DID and nobody would know it because one alter would take in charge all the interviews, or even all the social interactions ^^ (I'm not telling she has DID, it's just an example). Though, some systems manage to get through their traumas. The therapy consist in building funcitional multiplicity. (we're almost there, personnally ^^ !) Now that DID has enter the DSM-V, people with DID can be helped better. Some youtube channels start to appear (DissociaDID, the Entropy System). People with DID who received help are rising all over the worls to talk to people with DID who live in chaos and one day, maybe, people won't have to hide in order to feel secure. We don't feel secure ^^ We just feel strong enough to talk (to write xd). We're just bunch of frenchies inside one french girl's body. So we know we won't meet M Night Shyamalan or James McAvoy.... But we are (at least, if COVID19 agrees) working with a band in theater. On of our dreams is to make a movie, or a play, or a book, when a system won't be a "frightening" character. So when I hear James McAvoy saying he couldnt find any DID system to talk with, I understand. Systems were scared in 2016-17. They are still scared for most of them in 2021. But things will change. So, James, if you loose your time watching your own interviews, it would be a dream to talk to you about DID. You made one of us "fell in love" with Patricia with your talent. So yeah, it would be a pleasure to talk with you, system to singlet ^^

All the personalities were created to protect Kevin's. Either to make it so he was abused less, or so he could cope but none were to fight back until the last one. Not only that but the Horde personalities WORSHIPED him. The final personality personifies the idea that he was BETTER for having suffered (The basic religious idea that you can't be "good" and go to heaven unless you suffer - to suffer is divine - Can't be resurrected unless you are crucified first) . And took it one step future because the goal was to rid the world of the Impure because they never went through their "purifying fire".

Eu vi a atuação dele em It, capítulo 2; e achei o papel dele forte, corajoso. E vi também ele em His Dark Matérias como o pai de Lara... Um ótimo ator. Espero reve-lo em algum filme assim 😘🙌❤️🌹🌟 .

I would love to hear the opinion of other good actors on James. We wee mortals stand in awe for his talent and craftsmanship, so I wonder what other fellow actors (who also are good though) have to say.

I absolutely love this. I think the character at the end was created bc Patricia, Dennis, and Hedwig were being shunned. The monster was created in THEIR defense! That's what makes sense to me. Bc like he said he could see the personality traits and reason why each personality was formed, what it's purpose was. The purpose of the beast was to not shun out the other three bc they were scared. That's my opinion. I love love love this movie as a person with borderline personality disorder 😎🥰
