SLIGHT mis-representation: at 0:50 I say that Item Networks rely on a single item, the Item Transference Device. While this is largely true, Storage Bridges are another very important component, which I explain towards the end of the video. Hopefully if you watch everything it answers all your questions!
The video's pretty long since I explain everything as in-depth as I can, but here's the short version:
-Craft a Storage Bridge and an Item Transference Device (ITD)
-Place the Storage Bridge ON THE LOWER LEFT of any container (this gives it inputs+outputs)
-Place the ITD relatively close to the container (I've heard it can be kind of far away, but better safe than sorry!)
-Connect the Storage Bridge to the ITD (RED is OUTPUT on the Storage Bridge, connected to BLUE (INPUT) on the ITD).
-Set the logic of the ITD as you wish (watch the video for details on this)
-Connect the ITD to the container you want the items to be placed.
This functionality can be expanded for a lot of things, some of which I showcase in the video. I've set up automatic "dumping" of my FU extractors/sifters/furnaces into a single chest, so I don't have to loot each one individually. I've also set up an item network for my entire farming system to auto-harvest and loot (and very broadly sort!) my animal, plant, and bee products. Many players seem to use the setup that I showcase first in the video- after a long mining/harvesting spree, they dump all their loot into a chest, and ITDs sort out all the items into their appropriate containers.
If you have any questions, PLEASE ask! I'm happy to help you sort out any issues you're having. If you're looking for more involved setups, I can help you brainstorm how best to set it up.

Thanks for watching!
