yeah, but many get the balance right, this one was far more metaphors and repetition than actual substance. Usually prefer picking the 20 min long stories instead of 10 min ones, but this felt like a 10 minute story with an extra 8 minutes of padding.@@ChickSage

Too many cliches. Like the first sentence. Prison cell is a cube that is featureless but he knows the language, outside environment and the operations of the communications system. Escape is ridiculous. Kill or capture the aliens? Take over the facility or destroy it? Lazy, unoriginal, and not even good at making a short formulaic story. Would you take some not ill intended critisism from a Sci Fi enthousiast for the last 40 years? I've watched some of your material and it comes across as formulaic, repetitive and unoriginal, recycling the same couple of ideas again and again- almost like if you fed an A.I. with a limited pool of stories to draw daa from and post the results without any further refinement. The repetitive use of words and tropes, even in the same story, suggests that this might be the case. There's nothing inherently wrong with using an A.I. generated story as a starting point, but these stories, left on their own, will be nothing but lower quality reiterations of the originals. You can start by basic "combing" and get rid of repeating words, phrases and tropes. This may make the stories shorter, but it will also make them tighter and less of a chore to follow. Then, you could eliminate improbabilities. It is improbable that someone could learn an allien language in so little time- learning a new Human language is hard enough! It is also improbable that the locks in the cells would have such a prolonged delay, given that their allien technology should be at least on the contemporary human level, in order for the alliens to invade! Not to mention that no sane tactician would waste resources amidst a war, to resque a single soldier- unless that soldier was somehow crucial to the cause, for instance, if they were caught infiltrating an allien base gathering intel, or they were the prototype of an experiment designed to give Earth soldiers enhanced combat abilities and being captive, risked revealing the existence of said program to the alliens! The next step could be a "What if?". Take this story you ( or the A.I.) wrote, find a key plot point and ask yourselves "What if, instead of THIS, happened THAT? How would this play out? What would it take to happen, in order to achieve the desired ending?" For instance, what if in this story, help never came and Armstrong built a bond with Tharx (abandoned plotline), resulting in Tharx helping Armstrong escape? I apologise in advance if this comment seems like I don't value your content- this was not my intention. Please, don't send Zorax after me!
