This is probably why I will never go to Starbucks because I need to understand 25 languages and 25 riddles and reverse psychology tactics just for me to get a drink even though you can probably go to any other place and say medium and you will get a drink which isn't huge but not small

If you just tell them the size you want (small, medium, large), they'll normally understand and just give you that. I've been to so many coffee shops and the ones from Starbucks are always so lovely.

Tall/big= grande in Portuguese,Spanish and Italian, grand for french speakers. But for portuguese speakers tall=alto, big=grande.

How interesting, I've started learning Italian not long ago and these last three size names absolutely made sense to me as I saw them pop up on the screen. It amuses me that among cappuccino, macchiato, etc. Italy also has "un caffè corretto" - an espresso with a small amount of liqueur - "a correct coffee" literally.😅

I find Starbucks hilarious: "Mario! Why did you buy these beans? They're BURNED. These are unfit for anything!" "Demitri, relax. The Americans are STUPID. They will drink it. We will tell them it's "robust" and they will drink it. I got these bad burnt beans for a *song* - think of the profits!" They literally buy reject beans nobody who actually knows coffee would ever touch and sell them to these idiots for 7 bucks a cup....I'm jealous I didn't think of it first tbh...but I don't think I could live with myself selling that trash and calling it coffee.....

I don't go to Starbucks so I never had to learn their vocabulary... and actually I wouldn't care about it either... just say gimme the biggest and blame the attendant if he/she gives you a small one LOL

Starbucks needs to change this asap. Cause i ordered a quote on quote tall chocolate coffee cold brew. When I picked it up at my Krogers i was like... Let me check the recipe.... No damn way! No freaking way a tall is a small!
