Lowkow seems happy and delighted to be playing in a way that he didn't seem three years ago. His comments and reactions are in sync with the story, and he seems more in tune with the part of his audience that watches for entertainment. It's the subtle things that make this playthrough really enjoyable for me to watch. e.g., in the HotS trailer on this playthrough, he says "worst engagement for a terran player ever, landing your viking against an ultralisk *shakes head while smiling*", and the sense I have is one of being invited to enjoy seeing things from Lowko's perspective. In his playthrough from three years ago, after the LotV trailer, he says "fun fact for anyone who's not aware: even with maxed out upgrades, an archon cannot take out an un-upgraded ultralisk at all" and "same for the Heart of the Swarm trailer, where you have the viking pilot landing against an ultralisk; what noob does that? *shrugs while rolling eyes*", and the sense I have is one of being told from afar what the right way of doing things is. Which is fine, but that doesn't draw me into enjoying the playthrough in the same way.

When you finish the Prologue you should include the "Reclamation" Trailer before the beginning of the main campaign. It gives more backstory to the Protoss' and picks up right before the intro cinematic. (It also makes the one-eyed Zealot from the Opening cutscene WAY more badass)

Could it be that the reason he came to the leviathan was to retrieve it since he left it there to taunt her and be sure she wouldn't find it (hid it under her nose) but was afraid Kerrigan would find it?

Evolutionary left overs would be accurate. Protos in a more primitive state did have mouths and such and as their minds developed they lost their vocals and mouth as they where not used as much due to the other forms of communications. it is along the same lines as why humans still have tail bones. We lost our tails in evolution long ago but the retirements of it still remains. I would like to stay that this is theory craft and do not know if it is cannon.

Actually that is a good theory. And it's the same with fingernails, too. We haven't needed claws for millenia now, so they just devolved into fingernails.

Watching Lowko's reactions as he watched the recap cinematic was amazing. His smile at 7:08 says it all. It was like seeing someone discover Starcraft for the very first time. A “discovering Santa came and left presents under the tree on Christmas morning” kind of feel.

I always liked Starcraft, and other RTSes, but never managed to play any of them due to how difficult it was. I started watching your video on Terran Build Order rush at 6:30 and that made me able to play Starcraft at winnable level. Because of you I got into Starcraft, and I just can't get enough of it. This may seem like a stretch, but I think you changed my life. Thanks a lot!

Lol imagine this story recap but in real life if we encounter a Protoss-like civilization in first-contact. It'd take us about 10 years of solidly sitting down binging on this kinda video to get up to speed with what's been happening in the galaxy xD xD

lowko, Zertul's nipples grew because he accidentally fell breast first into a spawning pool, quickly he got out but not before evolving nipples. the story you never knew.

YEAH!! it started! lowko's campaign playthough is one of the only, of not the only youtube series i actually keep looking forward to the next episode!!! and to answer your question as to why protoss do not have mouth but do have nipples, its easy, very obviously nipples are far more important than a mouth xD

The Prologue consists of 3 missions. It was released ahead of the main LotV campaign, its tech tree is independent from what comes next. You get to play almost everything Protoss have but the difficulty is balanced accordingly

small tip you can notice for yourself if anything goes wrong, it's tal-darim protos are bein abducted? tal-darim hybrid facility? tal-darim adun about to be resurected? tal-darim if anything goes wrong, it is tal-darim

Here's a fun way to do this mission: get stalkers in right places at the right times to lure the Zerg towards Terran bases, then watch the Zerg kill everything for you. By the time Zerg got to the last base, you should be maxed out and be able to kill Kerrigan's bases.

Lowko, if you want, I think you'd enjoy replaying this mission but only using the zerg to fight the terran. You can aggro the zerg units with a few stalkers and pull them towards the Terran camps. I havent seen anyone else on Yt do it, but I think you'd have fun giving it a shot.

Using a few blink stalkers to draw the zerg waves into the enemy terrans is really fun. You can complete this mission really easily doing that.

I hope you play NCO again after this. That way we can fill you in on things like what you see if you orbital scan the top right corner of mission 2 or how to cheese the boss fight of mission 7.

At 9:06 you can watch Lowko realize Zeratul has nipples and I highly recommend doing so. He is trying not to smirk during the whole rest of the cutscene until he can mention it.

that was awesome , by the way did you know some of the voice lines of units have Easter eggs . also carbot animations took some of them to full extent , example p v z , zergs sneak a bunch of bains into protoss main and killed all probes , two stalkers tried to stop them and then report to the exacutor and say "Death comes to all " pointing at the probes. you should check it out.

Legacy of the Void walkthrough: 1. Micro stalkers 2. Go to Shakuras and aquire Dark Immortals. 3.Choose only upgrades that free up resources(the free Supply, the Pylon+small army warp in, orbital assimilators) 4. Spam dark immortals in every mission while pressing the "z" key constantly(y on qwertz keyboards). 5. Watch all enemies, air and ground, melt from outside siege tank range. 6. Use up all extra gas on sentries/energizers

Whispers of Oblivion is kind of separate from Legacy of the Void. It's free for everyone, but people who pre-ordered LotV got early access to it along with multiplayer beta access. The main campaign starts more normally with more straightforward goals and access to only a few units.

when i played this mission at the end i had no more than a handful of zealots and 3 stalkers, kerrigan was launching her last wave to destroy the unguarded reactor so i used her swarm to destroy the last terran defenses by luring it with my last units, they were brave warriors and their sacrifice was not in vain.

The best thing about this mission on brutal for me was the moment I realised I could bait a zerg attack wave into the final defences. I strolled right up to the third pen after sacrificing one or two stalkers.

If I remember the fluff protoss used to have mouths which became unnecessary once they became telepathic and started to photosynthesize their food. The mouth atrophied away. Maybe the nipples were useful once but have not yet gone.

Did not expect the first mission of the protoss campaign to be easier ... If you remember the last mission in SC 1 of the protoss campaiign , where you had to macro Terran& Protoss bases at once to kill the overmind ?! Holy sht that was insane

Lowko: Builds and gets access to forwards pylons to deploy his army on the front. Also Lowko : Does not use them as much and almost always warps them in base.

Actually double hive to triple lair in the campain is viable bc in the campain there are no injects, but the larva spawn rate and cap is increased by the teir of building. in multiplayer this was changed

this isn't LotV exactly, it's a set of pre-quests that you can do before you get to the main game. just adds story to the whole thing not really all that important unless you want story which is good =)

If you have never played Starcraft 1 then download the mass recall mod for SC2.. You will not be disappointed, those guys have done an incredible job.
