If I micro two armies I wont even be able to do any macro actions. Clem was microing 3 armies much better than I can micro 1 army while also never floating any resources. Absolutely insane.

YES! This is the first time I've seen Reynor vs Clem, although they've probably met before. They're both insanely good! Reynor consistently splits faster than widow mines can attack, his run-bys are always on point, and he's really good at the sandwich... it can be very difficult if not impossible to expand against Reynor as he sends wave after wave of Zerg... the same goes for attacking, Reynor normally has the entire map covered in creep. Clem is a pretty menacing force though, marine splits and focus fire, siege tank splits and focus fire... he can defend at multiple points and attack at multiple points... with his cautious/passive-aggressive playstyle he's able to contain the opponent, prohibiting creep spread and new bases from being acquired... all the while not overcommitting and losing his whole army VoHiYo

Clem's micro managenment is absolutely amazing, always spliting his marines up before every baneling engagement. As well as being able to fight multiple battles with such intensity.

Lowko I know you said you've been having a harder time finding good quality matches to cast recently. I think it would be cool if you went back and casted some of the old free-for-all pro matches. You only ended us casting a few of them from before.

This style from Clem vs Zerg is scary. He makes it look so easy and simple. As far as countering it goes, I think you probably have to go Hydras into Lurkers instead of Mutas. As long as I'm theorycrafting, I think playing with a good 5 more queens might be wise as well. If you absolutely cannot engage the Terran off creep, I feel like it has to be a high priority. Maybe trying to get a few extra Queens out before those Hellions come in, and trying to really get some explosively quick creep spread and completely zone them away is the answer? If you scout the reactor on the factory, you know they're gonna send the Hellions out, so you make a bunch of extra queens to get your creep spread out way faster and make it so it's not even worth the Terran's time to try and stop it getting from those push locations?

Due to the way that YT handles distributing information (eventual consistency design) it means that several people can think themselves first because the actual first has yet to propagate. There is a fun site, that will show the actual first based on timestamps :D. It can take a while to read the comments sometimes: first-comment.com/v/-V8RoSPjn7E

I watch this and it gets me pumped to play, then I play and get wrecked in silver league server and end up playing 3v3 instead where everyone just masses units.

Find a regular partner and play 2v2. It is less demanding than 1v1, but still quite challenging, and you can share fun and feedback. I got to master 1 this way over the years, by not playing more than 5 hours per week on average.

Lol I just played 2v2 with my brother tonight at silver league and we went 2-3. It's kind of like 1v1 (less massing) except it doesnt make my head spin and mistakes dont destroy me instantly.

Played SC back in school, play SC2 now and then. Think it's probably the best RTS game I've played, but at my age my APM is getting lower and lower so my enjoyment of playing the game has lessened somewhat, however hearing Lowko passionately commentate the games, whether pro or bronze league, has made watching the game quite pleasurable.

Why do the top pros even bother to send the reaper? The same thing always happens, it does a little back and fourth with the zerglings then the queen comes up and it has to back off.

It’s to make sure that you know that everything is ‘normal’. Without it you could be playing versus two base Roach all in with no info at all.

Tbh It's been a while since I last played sc2 (My pc can't realy run it), But i think it also has to do with slowing down droning. Before the queens start coming out and on one base, zerg has very limited larva, so every couple of zerglings that are made is a drone that can't be made yet, even if they have the minerals.

I like that Terrans are getting more aggressive with Zergs and I like that we're seeing fewer tanks; Clem seemed to be using them in pairs.

Double expand is a go-to zerg strategy, because opponents so rarely manage to kill both expansions. Except for Clem :-) All it takes is splitting your marines to hold off about 50 banes and cycling from one side of the map to the other before the zerg can reinforce. Wow! Just wow.

Can someone explain to me what is the second rally point from the Hatchery since I can see the first one goes to the mineral line? Is the 2nd one for combat units? If yes, how do you do this (hotkeys)? Thanks!

The orange/brown one is for Drones only. The white one is for everything else.

You are correct. You make the second rally point by selecting the hatchery and clicking anywhere on the map (except on the minerals).

To be honest, Reynor was behind for most part of the game, wasnt even close, just look at the creep and the bases.

I still don't get how pro players manage to reach over 300 APM doing literally nothing but building workers and waiting for the barracks to finish.

Probably part of that is just keeping their fingers loose, spamming buttons without doing much. I'm sure they're also doing things like setting up map hotkeys and such

Some Guy wait...there are map hotkeys for your camera!? I only started played a few months ago, but I’m sure nothing in the campaign or vs tutorials said anything about that...would have been great to know about that earlier.

@@battleon81 yeah, I think it's shift + F1, etc. Don't use them myself but you'll hear lowko mention them from time to time
