StarCraft: Brood War is the expansion pack for the military science fiction real-time strategy video game StarCraft. Released in December 1998 for Microsoft Windows and June 1999 for Mac OS, it was co-developed by Saffire Corporation and Blizzard Entertainment. The expansion pack introduces new campaigns, map tilesets, music, extra units for each race, and upgrade advancements. The campaigns continue the story from where the original StarCraft ended, with the sequel, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, continuing from the conclusion of Brood War. The expansion was released first in the United States on December 18, 1998.
Brood War was critically well received, with reviewers praising it for being developed with the care of a full game rather than as an uninspired extra As of May 31, 2007, StarCraft and Brood War have sold almost ten million copies combined.The game is especially popular in South Korea, where professional players and teams have participated in matches, earned sponsorships, and competed in televised matches.
As of April 19, 2017, StarCraft and its Brood War expansion, aka the Anthology, are free to download and play from Blizzard's website.A remastered edition of StarCraft and its expansion was released on August 14, 2017.

The real challenge is 1 zerg vs 7 protoss. Even if you could survive the first wave of zealots rush. The Psyonic storm spam in mid game would end everything.

Since it's on Big Game Hunters you could handle the attrition. The player is already playing on a "hard" mode without using Terran and tanks. Zerg don't defend nearly as well. The AI wasn't terribly smart in BW. Any combo is possible, but some are a little harder than others. This was always fun to do, though. Takes me back.

The good old days, i was doing this when i was a kid, back in 1999-2000, how many games i had to restart to try to beat 7 computers with zerg and protoss. Some times i did others no. I didn't play as a terran cause that was to easy, block the entrance, bunkers and tanks, and battlecrusiers later and job done.

@@MohammadAliKhalil For this game, if you hover over the buildings, the units and the controls, they will say what it is, what it does, etc. When you do this, you'll see one letter that is a different color then the rest. That's your hotkey for it. Yes it starts of a bit difficult to use, but once you get used to it, your actions will be much faster than relying on just the mouse.

Lol I'm pretty bad but have gitten better. I remember when I first did this game I made it to that one terran mission where you have to survive for 30 minutes. For whatever reason lol, I use firebats to counter mutalisks. Much better now, but still not great.

honestly back in the day my friend and i challenged each other to win vs 7 ai and in the end we both won and it came down to a time race.. record 23 something minutes.. watching this made my heart hurt (same map btw)

If you really want to win fast take a worker attack their buildings early all their workers will chase yours around the map and make a bunch of marines or lings or zealots and you just win

This is good work buddy, but the on the other hand, the fast way to beat up 7 computers are to destroy their own bases by mutalisks, when the time is above 15 to 20secs, otherwise the enemy computers will grow bigger and stronger constantly. So prepare for creating Mutalisks above 15 to 20minutes, get multi bases as fast you can and eliminate the enemy's bases alternatively.

I managed about an hour. If there is one criticism I could convey it's that the player is too afraid to lose units, especially guardians, considering that the resources are plentyful. The game would've gone a bit faster if there was more multi-tasking, for example if the guardians were ordered to attack-move an area on the other side of the enemy base, and meanwhile the player would spend a bit more time at the base producing even more guardians to send to battle (or another type of unit). When the unit limit is reached, the player would be free to micro-manage the battles in a greater degree.

The AI in SC1 was pretty limited on strats, none of them included air really. AI's in SC1 didn't really do reactive strats, they just kinda got a good group of hydra/ling/lurker and attacked when seemingly had enough.

Due to the high mineral pools it fucks with ai. The ai does things as mineral patches get to certain levels, normally mineral patches have 1500 mins each. Due to BGH having 20k min patches and gas, it breaks the ai. If this was a mineral limited map the ai would progress much further.

You probably could've ended the game 45 mins faster. I would recommend getting more familiar with hotkeys and faster with unit upgrades since you had some idle time on your spires. As soon as 3:3 flyer upgrades were done you should've moved out with the guardians. Also the guardians should've been supplied with constant mutalisk reinforcement from your macro hatcheries. You had the resources to provide a constant stream of units instead of backing off every 2 minutes. Mutas are great for hit-and-run tactics and you can always morph more guardians on the spot to replace lost ones, basically play it like a blitzkrieg. Lurkers in the choke points would've helped with some anti-air to help deal with enemy overlords basically make use of every supply count that you can. I played like this before watching competitive play, helps a lot to see where I could improve.

Why all computer went exactly same build? no rush and no flyers, not even a spore colony or mutas, no hive tech or upgrades past 2/2. And that yellow only made an overlord and a couple of drones.

ну что тут сказать... тупой ИИ, который не может ни облететь, ни разбить для начала стенку. Особенности карты с узким проходом и куча ресурсов, которая позволяет не занимать другие локации. С таким же успехом можно было включить чит на бабосы.

После 20й минуты я ожидал, что его сметёт мута с гуардианами. Т.к. больно было видеть отсутствие противовоздушки. Но прокрутил до 40 минут, а ИИ всё по-прежнему лингов, гидру да люру кидает в атаку... Тупо и скучно, когда враг так ограничен и предсказуем. А вот если бы игрок в качестве челленджа следовал бы тем же самым ограничениям на юниты, то тогда вот было бы занятно.

in 1.51 zergs use air units but they develop slow, i have 30-40 SC games videos in DRAFT, i know i had few videos with zergs using air units.
