After acquiring enough resources, Kerrigan moved on to the main event on Korhal, taking any infested command centers with her. The UED had an important presence on the planet, having placed an entire planetary garrison and even some of their slave broods to guard the world. Despite such formidable defenses, though, Kerrigan and her allies were able to retake Korhal by removing all UED presence in Augustgrad, dealing a heavy defeat to the UED forces on the planet and placing Char as the last major stronghold the UED had in the sector.
