For the major festival: I don’t believe it would be thanksgiving or 4th of July, both are holidays mainly celebrated in the US, and not all players are from or in the US, it would be more likely to be new years or valentines because they are holidays that are more widespread

my theory is that a lot of new content may be related for farming frogs - which is why there is gold, void, and blue frogs like chicken options. i think the green star is a wallet item that may be related for learning how to farm frogs. I think the big leafy sprite is a frog hut. Im so exited to see what these all are though :)

I’ll be honest I never remember the dance of the moonlight jelly’s. So summer is probably when the new major festival will be.

I personally think everything is just hinting towards zuzu city being a new location we can go to. The totem is to warp there, the ticket is for a bus/train ride to the city, the new farm could be some weird new outside the city farm thats smaller but things are cheaper in zuzu city or are done differently like year 2 crops available year 1 or something. Also the new festivals could take place in zuzu city and the new npc looks like a shady guy you might find hanging outside an alley somewhere.

I could a see a major festival being a stargazing or new year festival. The mini festival could be a summer themed one or at the train station with the train cars a different shop. The star item looks like a charm, maybe for those who have collected all the stardrops? I may add more to this comment, I’m thinking along watching the video.

My moneys on the city. Totem to a new area. Plus we already pay Willy or Pam to get to the island or desert. So now you buy a train ticket to the city. Perhaps the new festivals are in the city, or being able to do something in the city is itself the festival. But we always hear about the city. See people from there during the fair. I think it’s a good time to show us the city. It would work for late game content since you might not wanna go back to the city (In universe) right after leaving. If Joja failed to get the community center I think it would make sense for them to be more involved within the city. Really if they are adding a whole new area I think adding Zuzu city makes the most sense. The ticket icon sells me on it. Especially if it’s a timed thing to go to the city, earn or buy tickets ahead of time (maybe like how you can only deep sea fish during the night market) Personally concerned ape not mentioning the city doesn’t discredit it to me. I’d expect if that’s the big new area, you would want that to be a bit of a surprise. But frankly I’m 100% on the side of new areas the city

Ideally, for me, between summer and fall....also make it a 3 night festival event. I want to see an arabian nights themed event. Maybe sleep in a tent, maybe trip on some wizard drugs, and maybe figut some demons in caves. I really want to be challenged by all the volcano upgrades in this dungeon with demons.

Not too long ago there was a photo on Ginger Island with a gold bird on it and coins above its head, sitting on one of those things we use to unlock areas when we first got to ginger island, but it was a blue joja one instead of just being the wood color. That has to do with joja obviously, unlocking a new area. To where idk, or for what idk.

With there being 8-player multiplayer, maybe there'll be a second farm site and that smiling totem is to warp you to the farm you don't live on? Otherwise, maybe it's like a rain totem, but related to friendship. Everyone will have sweet dreams so the next day friendship has a 1.5x multiplier or something. I'm pretty excited to see what CA comes up with in any case!

I wonder if the fish machine is a fillet processor? So the "Any Fish" recipes now use Fish Fillets, preventing cooking from using recipe-specific fish?

If the ticket is for a train ride to the city then the totem probably takes you to the same place.

I dont rlly think its gonna be the valentines day or christmas, cuz we have the flower dance and the feast of the winter star which are kinda the same things, and thanksgiving or 4th of july are american only festivals, and stardew valley is in a completely diffrent universe Actually, what other festivals are there? Maybe its gonna be made up, in which case its prob gonna be in summer, since the span between the luau and the dance of the moonlight jellies is the biggest festival span in the game, so maybe were gonna have a celebration of summer on ginger island? Or maybe a festival dedicated to the completion of the cc and bringing the community together? Thats just for the major one tho, ive got no clue what the mini festivals could be For the fish machine, the most reasonable explanation to me is that maybe you put bait/roe in it and it gives you a random fish/fish related item depending on the quality of bait/roe you put in?

I always thought it was cute but it could make sense that the new late game feature is going to Dino island.
