NOTE: You do not need to run power to your extractors. Building power is all you need to do. power tethers are only needed if you are using a power switch.

@@philipb2684 from what I figure, you could put a power switch between a power source and a fabricator. That way you turn off the auto fabricator when you don't need any more parts. To avoid deleting it or constantly disconnecting iron -aluminum. If that makes sense.

To REMOVE a landing site: start an outpost next to your ship, then delete it. (just lay it down and go in and delete it). take off and the landing site should be removed.

When I did this it removed my outpost beacons pois, not the outposts, but the pois making it impossible to return. Save often.

@@IBadmagicIIf you have already moved the beacon of the outpost in question and used it to manipulate terrain, ie put it in a big outcropping of rocks, then you need to move it back to roughly the middle and that disappearing act shouldn’t happen.

Great vid 👍🏻. You can also find a civilian outpost on the planet, build an outpost as close as you can to that outpost and you'll have a place to sell items. 1hrs sleep/rest and the vendors credits are reset.

That is very wrong, you need to rest at Venus for 15 hours, that resets all the vendors. I think your talking about your mining storage

@@Elite.Gamersit takes 48 hours of UT to reset the vendors. The conversion on Bessel is one hour of sleep is 57 hours UT. So he is correct for the scenario that he posted.

You can also create isocentered magnets, for those that are XP farming. They also sell for more. Between crafting the two, you will gain a lot of XP with the Local to UT time conversion.

This is ok. It's not that this doesn't work, it does. If you're looking for Xp this is golden. However, if you're looking to generate cash it is extremely labor intensive. Go to Eridani II and set up a gold mine. 10 extractors, about twenty storage containers, a transfer container and enough solar or wind to power it. You can also throw down a landing pad with ship builder if you want. I always do.Yes it only sells for 3cr per unit, but you don't have to do anything except go load up your gold and go sell it. I have 96000cr sitting at all times and a ship specifically built for gold transport. 25k cargo capacity and every gun I could put on it to haul it in whenever I need a boost in cash. Wait 24 hours on Venus and 96000 more cr. It takes about a half hour total from loading up at my mine and doing the sell loop starting at the Akila City TA and heading east to finish out at Cydonia TA hitting all the 11,000 cr vendors along the way. Also don't forget about the TA trade kiosks. They're worth 5000cr each. When you have credits you don't need to craft anything. You can just buy whatever you need. Get XP playing the game instead of playing arts and crafts. I ESPECIALLY recommend this technique for NG+ players who have quit chasing the Unity like myself. NG+ 10 at the moment.

Oddly enough, I found: Platinum, Iron, Cobalt, and Nickel. I already have an Aluminum mine nearby... so I loaded up my ship and brought all to this spot. Can't find any Aluminum nearby but oh well. Loving this spot.

Just so you know, you can go to Bessel IIIa to collect Aluminum and Beryllium. Both are abundant if you can handle the running around and mining. Use left trigger to charge up and when you blast the ore it will be much faster. unfortunately Tungsten will still not be near here and is probably best if you buy it like said in the video.

Because the time differential is so long on this planet, you need to land and sleep in a bed (or wait in a chair) on the planet itself. Otherwise you have to wait 50-60 hours UT (57ish, I think) somewhere else. Another YT suggests waiting until between 6:30-7:30 local so you can see the surface in relief on the map.

Great video..but after spending hours and hours trying to finding the location. I just went and created two outposts. One had Nickel, Cobalt, Aluminum and Platinum at one...and Iron at the other. Didn't really need the Iron... because I could make magnets for EXP farming.

Interesting. I'm on Xbox but wouldn't imagine that the game would be this different. Anything within the radius of my outpost beacon automatically gets power. I don't have to wire anything for power in my outposts.

Tip, you dont need to wire power, only if you want to control it with a switch... You wire the power to a switch and a switch to the machine... You only need to wire energy to light post,,,,

@@IcebergGaming265 What he means is. The total power has to be higher than the needed power, that way any extractor, big lighting no need to wire them. However, lighting inside the living hab needs to be wired, but sometimes it glitches that the light turns on, but it does not. So it is wise to wire to at least one power source, not multiple, unless you want everything outside the living hab to stop working such as the extractor, and the big lighting. That's what I found out anyway. So one fusion power should be just enough for internal living hab. Now that I saw your video on my PC. I will add, that with the big Fusion power and with more than 1 digit higher, no need to wire them. Example: Needed power is 20 and total power is 100. No need to wire it at this instant.

The problems start when you build the transfer units. They need HE3 to run them. A better strategy would be to find a place that has HE3 as a resource within your outpost.

Something you forgot, every world and location is different for everyone else, the landscape is procedural generated so what you see will be different to everyone else, this includes ships, landmarks and creatures, building Spawns are different too.

I spent about an hour and a half looking in the same location and finally noticed I was just a slight bit to the left... reloaded and when I landed my screen looked exactly like his and my outpost is in the right location. What does annoy me is the planets that have water but yet you land on an "island" and walk for 30+ minutes and never hit ocean lol

The issue I have with creating an Outpost on Bessel III-b first is that by doing so it breaks the future mission to find the Starborn Temple on Bessel III-b. Even if you destroy the Outpost you will not be able to complete the mission to find the Temple.

And Once I get the mission to find the Temple on Bessel III-b, until I find it I am unable to be assigned any more Temples.

I built an outpost on Bessel 3-B. Then, further in the storyline. There is a power to aquire on Bessel 3-B. Distortion never showed. Had to start over.

If you land in the spot I describe in the video it should be pretty close to the ship. If you don't see the mountain and the three biomes like I show you are in the wrong spot

I fubared my current outpost there and just couldn't get the right location and didn't bother saving. Also do you need to actually link the power sources to the extractors? I don't recall having mine linked they just needed to be within the range of the sources. In fact I dropped an argon and water extractor on Jemison, and just placed a solar farm in with no links and they are working.

@@IcebergGaming265 All my outposts work without wiring, so long as the generated power the required power. You can wire things up to guarantee that a specific item (extractor, turret, etc) receives power from a given generator if you prefer. If you are in a hostile location, with attacking wildlife or pirates, then I'd expect the need to provide dedicated wiring to ensure things like turrets stay powered in the event of damage to the generator farm reducing overall power below the threshold...

You don't need to wire them. The wire gives priority to that object such as an extractor for power from that generator. I generally didn't use wires except in the case of wiring solar or wind generators to He-3 extractors which provided He-3 to the fusion generators for the rest of the base.

@@IcebergGaming265 I don't know what you are doing different but I don't link my power either, I find a section of my outpost that has no resources and cluster my wind turbines or solar arrays together, I make sure that my total power is greater than needed power and everything just works. The only thing I have to link is extractors to storage and storage to cargo links, etc... Hope this helps.

Waiting on your ship didn't help because 1 hour of Bessel IIIB time is 57 hours of universal time. So you would have to wait 8x57 hours to pass 1/3 of a day phase. Also you should really credit VashCowaii with your entire video, because aside from needlessly adding wires to your extractors, you did pretty much nothing that his video didn't do.

Americans always say Merkantile for some reason. It is mercentile. You don't need to wire the power either, it just works without it and it is cleaner if you have links to other bases.

I give up. 2 days trying to find this stupid shot and I'm landing exactly where you say. I've landed at least 30 times. Couldn't be more accurate on the map but just not there. No mountain that looks like this and the 'place where biomes meet' ... There are biomes everywhere! I've walked everywhere too looking for the 5 resources knowing it's procedurally different for everyone. Give up. It's just not fun. I'm on xbox. Is it possible patches removed it per your vid?
