@@bruceplenderleith838 You can't space walk without using console commands and there is nothing to do once you get out of your ship. Skyrim had horses. Bethesda didn't "practically invent" anything and they added nothing new to Starfield. I have played the game. It's pretty mid.

the horses were slower than walking, hardly a vehicle, this game is for grownups with attention spans and imagination. It is one of the greatest games ever made. Imagine playing this shitty game and believing it is good.

The game is such trash, On XBOX series X OLED C3 the game is a glitch fest. Laggy AF looks terrible. But the game is boring as well. All of the quest are dialogue and fetch quests. Very uninspired.

So it looks like we were all had. They took the best visuals for the game and put together the greatest video game presentation ever only for it to be lies. My biggest gripe with this game is the fact that we do not actually fly the f'n space ship. You set a destination and it basically teleports you there and you watch loading screens of your ship landing and taking off. Pure garbage. I am not looking for flaws in Starfield just to rant but I do not see the point of this extensive ship creation feature in Starfield if I do not get to fly the ship. I tried the space battles in Starfield and its no where near as good as Elite Dangerous. Starfield has a long way to go and this was the biggest feature I was looking for in the game. Any other bugs in this game I would need to play more in order to offer an opinion but this video and other videos are exposing the flaws and lies about this game. Now when Elite Dangerous Odyssey came out fdev shit the bed hard and it was very bad when that expansion came out but since then the issues with performance and bugs have been fixed so its much better. Actually ED Odyssey is a much better game then what people think it is. Between ED and Starfield I prefer to go my own way and choose my path.. I do not need to be led by a linear story. Currently imo Elite Dangerous as it stands today has a better story going on if you factor missions through thr BGS factions you are working on and the overall Thargoid story, which I am not really interested, compared to Starfield but time will tell. ED needs a developer who gives a crap about the game and it future. ED can still comeback and claim the thrown as the number one space sim if fdev were to try. They try they could eclipse Emperium, Spacebourne 2, Star Citizen, X4 Foundations. ED could beat them all if fdev cared. Starfield just came out so we would have to wait to see how it developes but right now its got issues. We'll see...

I played it for 9 hours. Game wasn't that bad the first 4 hours or so but I figured out around that mark exactly what the game was and that exploration or player agency aren't really a thing, and that the writing and characters weren't gonna get better, and hours 6-9 were spent kinda doing a few missions from different factions and eventually I realized the game is just shit. 5/10

I disagree. That was a honeymoon period. Even I had it. It was a shockingly impressive game for the first bit. Then you start seeing the problems when you get deeper in. That is the thing I've seen mirrored time, and time, and time again. Watch most of those youtube video's saying the game is great. That was a first reaction. Watch their one month review. 100th hour review. It has changed. I'm personally planning on writing a long steam review myself. But its going to be something like this: Starfield is exactly what I expected. An OKAY game. Mods... Mods will make it great. Starfield is not bad. Starfield is not good. But a solid Meh.

I play Cyberpunk2077 2.0 on ultra with no problem, but SF is laggy af but also kinda ugly; badly optimized, recycled and reskinned FO, nowhere near CP77 or Atomic Heart. Even games from 2018. RDR2 and KCD still look better (not to mention they are much better games).

You mean Starfield or NMS? If you mean NMS, you have to actually work (upgrade your ships abilities) to be able to get to other galaxies and that is rewarding. I played NMS like 3 years ago I think. The more boring stuff, like inspecting crashed cargo ships, the same all the time, may have changed, I dont know. But NMS made going to a planet a new adventure. All their games looked 5 years behind current gen but demanded next gen PC. It's not even hardware, FO had some massive FPS problems in one or two areas thanks to Beth lack of basic optimization, obsolete engine and bad design, modders were struggling to fix this for years. Not sure if it's Bethesda laziness, incompetence or they even made deals with Nvidia&AMD.

I think it comes down to lazy programing and desgin.

That just tells you how truly bad it is. This is an outdated engine that requires so much loading for almost everything you do. Those are vestiges of game design made for HDDs. SSDs shouldn't make it playable, it should just make it faster to load into these barren wastelands and tiny shops.

@nickv1212 I'm not sure if you know how games work.. but every single game has to load and read codes in order to function. At this time and age.. ssd should be a standard in any pc. While the engine might be outdated, it has nothing to do with the game being optimized for ssds. You can have a top of the line engine and still have a game that runs like crap in an regular HD. I'm still running this game in a 1080ti and I get good 45fps on it. Considering my processor is i7 4700.. pretty stone age.. and can still run the game just fine. Have you seen unreal engine 5.3??? It's looking like an amazing engine with top of the line features. It's ridiculous.. I can only imagine if Bethesda would use that instead.

@@shul5684 I mean that lagging and stuttering shouldn't happen nearly as often if the game literally pauses for 5 seconds every time you enter a new area to load everything in there and offload everything that you're leaving behind. That's why so much of Starfield is broken up with loading screens in the first place, to avoid those hiccups. But most games that require an SSD atleast do away with much of these archaic designs, because that's what the SSD allows them to do. It feels like an HDD game that only takes advantage of the SSD for high quality assets and relatively quick loading screens. Most other games take advantage of the SSD to create seamless worlds that don't require constant load screens.

LOl I have 6750xt and I'm 90% of the game above 60fps 1440p native. I can upscale to 4k ultra also and play above 50fps most of the time but I prefer native. like in two towns it drops a bit, but its not game breaking.

It's worst quality to me is that it's mediocre. I've cranked out 100 hours, and there's never a "wow" moment. Such bland characters and boring writing. Decades of space and sci-fi media to draw inspiration from, and they put this bland mess out on their old, jank-ass engine. Fanboy no more.
