it is on planets with fast rotations around their sun....if you want to fly somewhere else like venus and just wait 1 hour to refresh all shops

From an RP perspective, finish the crimson fleet or Ryugin campaign and talk with certain people at the end. I think you can setup a bounty station there as well.

"hunting varuun ships in the serpentis system (you get an encounter with them nearly every jump between planets)" Um...I went to Serpentis last night and flew to every planet and moon and was able to scan each one from space and I had not one space encounter!

I have been mining the Serpentis system for XP and ships. There is around 25 ships just in that system. Just travel to each planet and moon, wait 5 to 12 seconds and they appear.

@@ecobasetech4558 You probably weren't actually flying around the planet for a long enough time, just scanning and moving on.

@@ecobasetech4558 5-10 seconds to scan???? Again, if you're spending that time in the map, it doesn't count, the game is effectively paused. Just be in your ship, flying around. Shoot a few asteroids.

I’m doing it now but I’ll caution you: it makes some of the “stop X pirate operation” much less interesting. Most of the time it’s a few lines of dialog and done, instead of some big firefight. And you can count yourself out of the “destroy X crimson fleet ship” unless you want to pay a bounty over and over. It’s still fun and having access to The Key is amazing, but there are downsides.

You can register as soon as you sit down in the cockpit, but yeah. The reason AT suggested to grab jump away immediately is because you will be in combat with nearby ships if you wait even a couple seconds to re-dock making the bank run much more difficult for you.

​@@Samurai-xm2ynyeah the whole point of not registering when you get in the cockpit of your new ship is that your home ship will disappear, and if you're out here being a pirate, you don't want to have to go back to a port and get your primary ship again.

@@sequoia1171 your home ship will not disappear if you register, it will undock and you can simply face it and re-dock. Also, you have to either register or at least undock to become owner of a ship, so what are you even taking about?

If you undock before you attempt to gain ownership your original ship will just sit there unless it's attacked giving you time to target it and normally you can't attempt to dock if you are under fire

You don’t need to undock. Just hit H and set it as home ship. Soon as your main ship starts to pull away target it, dock back with it and boom. You leave in your full health ship and the new claim ship will be ready when you want it.

I would suggest to do this no more than 5-6 times in a row before some ships you claimed starts to disappear because of a bugthesda@@AtlasGaming4k

Its kinda low, its just an extra 6k because you gotta register it before selling it

and Xp farm also ... this is the fastest way when ur high lvl to farm xp .. the "west tek" of space here we have serpentis and the key, I usually get like 7-8 lvls in a day of spaceship farming .. am lvl 126 in starfield and 1100 in 76 😅

am using an upgraded spacer racoon for this .. u know the mini-spaceship from taiyo .. sooo cool

I mean, this is still exploiting ridiculous game mechanics... Almost no one comes to help the bank ship, grav jumping out takes less than two seconds, the bank doesn't come after you, the heist pays way more than the bounty, no one bats an eye at some random independent settler showing up to pawn off a bank cash-in-transit vehicle... You can level infinitely using the janitor lady in the MAST NAT station, too - just keep riding the elevator to The Well and back, which resets her coffee delivery activity, which you can buy an infinite quantity of through the terminal. Earns 100 xp every time you give her one, and the money/items she gives you pays for more coffee. Technically not a glitch either, but that doesn't mean it isn't a completely broken mechanic. :p

I second this comment, very lore and RP friendly way of robbing *bank ships* and no glitches great to see!

At this point (still first playthrough but already over LV.150, with maxed shipyard and piloting skills), I personally do not ser any use to mount EM weapons aside the class-A one. My disruptor weaponed B-class ship melt thru shields, and the class-A EM needs feew shots to disabile engines and let me dock... ... save money for more important parts... no need for B or C-class EM

It seems any ship with a custom hab is unobtainable. I tried getting Warlock when I was doing the UC quest, it had custom made scientist/hoarder habs. Grandma's ship has unique and very comfy living space with throw rugs and rocking chairs and a dining table/kitchen hab. And any player who would steal her ship is playing an absolutely monstrous evil character.

I've done the piracy dialogue option on lone Galbanks in the middle of nowhere and never gotten a bounty, even with a full Constellation crew (I may have been in non-faction space each time, but not sure). I haven't boarded though, because I've been worried about bounties doing that (got a MASSIVE bounty from accidentally pissing off and boarding a Freestar security ship, so I'm gunshy now).

So i tested this with marika and got a 100k bounty, so im pretty sure she is out. also sometimes i would still get a 15k bounty even though all witnesses are dead. any ideas why?

yes class C, I think low level one is class A

go to a ship vendor and choose buy ships option than look on bottom right on the screen it will tell you button mappings to switch in to selling

I’ve got the same issue… I think I’ve made sure I’ve got no companion quest but I’m still getting 15K per kill I’m targeting GalBank ships that are alone so no other ship can witness the piracy. I’ve got no crew on my ship, no companion with me but I’m getting 15K UC bounty for each kill. So like 60K per GalBank ship raided 😰

If a companion is "active" aka not dismissed they will literally follow you wherever you go. Don't forget the difference between unassigned and dismissed. Dismiss just means "Stop following me"

Go to the bounty clearing kiosk, it may still be very low. I got a high uc bounty after killing the final crew member but it was dropped to 675 at the kiosk at my outpost.

I had that one when one of the crew bugged out and stayed on the ship regardless how hard i was trying to get rid of it

No crew or companion. Granted I didn’t have an outpost set up so probably the difference. But was quite surprised to see that price tag.

if you screwed up your savegame, then going to jail gets rid of it... however you will get such a high xp penalty you will need long time for it to get to 0 again
