Oh, they simply went to a big building's mechanical room and recorded the air handlers. It's very relaxing when you are in there. And very cool too.

Cleanest I found was Season 6 Episode 11 when the Prometheus was prepping to take off. From my file, it's between 24 minutes and 29 minutes. @@still_guns Has the obvious issue that it's at Idle.

I was fresh out of high school first year of university and had not to long gotten TV for my apartment. This episode just aired. This one of the first things I watched. Good memories.

Yeah the size comparisons of the Daedalus class are always off. Seeing Carter cross the bow and the time it takes to reach the flight pod itself really shows just how massive these were.

X-303 is 516 meters, so the X-304 is around 600 meters - Trekyards calculated the realistic size of the ships, by comparing them to the F-302 size and the hangers they're supposed to fit in those ships.

And the scary part in terms of other ships from other races the Daedalus class was tiny even against the Hatak

@@lifeinjersey9846 Goauld and Ori ships carried lot of ritualistic, heavy, unnecessary stuff and Wraith didnt have a shields so they had to compensate with size, those were the biggest ones. But yea Daedalus class is really strong for its size.

@@belisarian6429 absolutely the 304 when it got the asgard beam weapons were the most powerful ships aside from the Ori mothershops once the Tauri learn how to make the asgard power source and make zpms they would be unstoppable

This scene shows how big this ship really is. People need to stop repeating the "official" 225 meter size, it's wrong.

Everything from this show is so memorable. I think they really missed out on the merchandising potential. The gate, the DHD, Ha'tak, Iris, ZPM, 301, 302, 303, staff weapon, Zat, all these would made great collectibles.

I don't know that they're giving him a hard time, but they are estimating whether he has any level of confidence that he can accomplish the task successfully in the allotted time. He dallies on the details as it seems he doesn't want to provide that answer, which is a very civilian thing to do. In such a situation, either you know you can do it in the time, or the answer is no and plan B needs to be kicking in. Saying 'give me 5 minutes' and in 5 minutes you may not know is not good enough. That time could've been put to other tasks instead.

@brummyuk In Road Not Taken they show BC304 Daedalus as being the same class as Prometheus. To be honest, I never found X303 to be good looking

Originally the Daedalus and Odyssey were meant to be 303s, however the 303 model was poor and so the 304 was made by the CGI contractors and department to replace the 303. This occurred before the prop department and set dressers were able to adjust visuals such as the screens for a while. This is also why McKay refers to the Daedalus as the sister ship to the Prometheus in the Season 2 opener for Atlantis.

@@prometheus8010 If you look at the displays of the ship, aboard Daedalus-classes, like in this episode. Usually the Daedalus and Apollo show the Prometheus-class. It's a well-known goof that crops up in several episodes.

Those VFX were probably done years before the actual CGI model of the 304 (or even decision to make a 304 class) were made. Daedalus is introduced in Road Not Taken as another BC 303.@kadindarklord

a fall from even 30ft..... you have ARTIFICIAL GRAVITY. Adjust gravity parameters, hanger deck, 0.1G. You'll drift slowly to the deck comparative to 1G. When you land, up gravity to 1G and get the medical team in there.

Shame we’ve not seen yet and likely won’t the next generation earth cruiser after Atlantis ended. Because they got a bunch of different alien tech from pegasus galaxy near the end thanks to Elizabeth and bring the city back to earth.
