DC's Stargirl, or simply Stargirl, is an American superhero television series created by Geoff Johns that premiered on streaming service DC Universe and now airs on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics superhero Courtney Whitmore created by Johns and Lee Moder. The series follows high school student Courtney Whitmore, portrayed by Brec Bassinger, who discovers the cosmic staff and becomes the inspiration for a new generation of superheroes who become the Justice Society of America. The series also stars Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez / Wildcat II, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel / Doctor Mid-Nite II, Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler / Hourman II, and Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman! #Stargirl #DCStargirl

Buddy having he's own cold opening was so funny and cool, also Buddy and Cosmo playing around was sweet.

I'm with you with how you're enjoying the season. Its more character focused and that gives you characters to root for and enjoy seeing. Season one was all about the adrenaline and naivety that comes from being a new superhero but in season two these kids have seen some stuff AND have their previous issues in their home lives still around. Personally I definitely still enjoy the show and how every major character got their own time to shine and grew whether it be become confident in themselves (Beth) or realise the world isn't all good or all bad (Courtney) its been entertaining to watch. Also, Beth meeting Chuck was so cute I love it and Jakeem is my new son i've adopted him

You are right about that call. Cindy said you ALL should come back but only Artemis survived from Injustice Unlimited back in Episode 6. Maybe she was talking to Artemis but was referring to her parents as well. Maybe that's how Sportsmaster and Tigress will come back and stay as regulars for Season 3.

i really don’t think jennie’s situation was an example of that trope. to me it seemed like the shot she fires off to destroy the piece of the portal thing was involuntary, and she had no idea that it infected the ring. i don’t think she was keeping it a secret, i think she was just genuinely clueless.

I agree with the beginning, I love this season especially the pacing being slow and less action, we get actual development for the JSA.

I don't know if the trope really fits here, because I honestly don't think Jeanie knows exactly what's wrong with her, as in I don't think she knew she got "infected" and for all she knows it could be just because of her powers, I say this because the "entity" did enter the ring extremely fast, and I don't think it was clear from her perspective what exactly happened, it almost looks like from her perspective her powers had unintended side effect. That being said however, if she does reveal "the truth" then never mind my interpretation.

I do love how Mike said Jakeem like it was his nemesis. It made me think of when William Zabka first saw Ralph Macchio again in ep 1 of cobra kai. Like oh no not this asshole again.

Brec just won the Saturn award for best young TV performer. I don’t think Jennie’s experience was a trope. She’s had the ring only a few weeks and isn’t fully in tune with the superhero gig. I don’t think she knows what’s wrong with her. I do expect her to tell everyone her vision. And based on the trailer for the finale, Eclipso/Courtney is going to happen. It better be Courtney herself who wins the internal battle (not saved by someone) or I’m done with this show. Making her a villain or another Yolanda-like season of feeling guilt over her actions is a step too far.

I hate many of the choices made in this show, from Pat and Mike no longer being redheads (I'm sick and tired of redhead erasure from pop culture), to killing off the original JSA before we ever got to meet them, to killing off Brainwave Jr. And now this bullshit of Hourman's powers coming from that hourglass instead of the Miraclo/Mirakuru pills. That was a perfect connection to Bane and the Batman mythos they could have mined for a future crossover. Same with Brainwave Jr, he had a lot of creative potential, and they wasted it!

ugh, I hate that damn song at the start of the episode (and the talentless idiots who sing it are infamous covidiots here in the UK). The scene itself though was fun. Another good episode overall. Didn't expect Pat to get hardcore but I approve and yeah I agree, great scene. :P Dark Stargirl looks cool. And yeah who did Cindy call?

Means they love to go on anti-lockdown protests, claim covid is either completely made up or just rebranded flu and fill their social media with idiotic articles as 'proof' when every article they've ever posted (usually a tabloid or anti-vax site) was debunked by facts and credible sources ages ago.

I hope the finale delivers, because this season so far has felt a little flat (imo). They're obviously saving money this year by using less vfx and action scenes, and this episode even had a trimmed down run time. I also noticed some awkward directing and blocking choices here.. some of the dialogue scenes had an almost "soap opera" look in the filming technique. I like this show and I'm hoping the finale will give me that season 1 vibe that (except for a couple of episodes) I believe has been missing this year.
