I think Grace just wants to be known by what she is doing now as an artist, rather than always just the agt winner of 2016. Her music recently has grown greatly and deserves more than an agt win recognition.

She shouldn't be embarrassed about her acting in Stargirl; she is perfect in the role. You'd never know she hadn't acted before. She can easily be a movie star if she decides to pursue it.

She is such a wonderful person. She is what you see. Not fake.

Don’t you people know that she’s a brilliant singer-songwriter. She has released 2 EP’s and a full album, Letters Vol 2 is about to be released, she has had 2 sold out tours and opened for Imagine Dragons and Florence. She is giving her debut as actress and what are you ignorant ppl doing? Ask her about her feelings while winning AGT again and again and again and again? Rinse and repeat. Do your homework! Give her the credit she deserves as a recording artist.

Just because I feel like we need some: here’s a ton of info/facts they left out: • Grace actually got her start on KZfaq, by posting her songs as well as covers, and sang at open mic nights close to her hometown. • Grace has written over 40 known songs since the age of 11. • Grace has also been honing her skills as a producer and composing full songs on her own, with her iPad. • Grace is an activist, she has started a charity, travelled to Kenya to help deaf children, and won the New York State Senate Woman of Distinction Award. • Grace has performed with artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Jason Mraz and Ingrid Michaelson. Grace has also opened for Florence + The Machine and Imagine Dragons. • Grace has released three records(two EPs and an LP) since winning AGT, two of which debuted in the top 25 on billboard. • Her work has won many awards such as an RDMA, a TCA, a EMA and The Billboard Women in Music’s Rising Star award. • Grace has toured 4 times in 3 years • Grace completed a 27 show tour from August to September, where she teased her 3rd album. Grace also suffered a severe infection during the tour but completed every show, except the last due to losing her voice. • Grace spends tons of time in the studio singing, writing and producing. I don't think she'd be permitted to win now because she comes from a solid, nuclear, family and it seems every contestant now stresses that they are homeless, fighting an incurable disease, being savagely bullied, or fleeing a war torn third world country. I believe her when she says she doesn’t remember anything, just as you can block out traumatic events I’m sure you can block out good events too. She was young, she was 12 and she’s achieved a lot more since then. While it is annoying how people keep bringing up AGT, it’s the same thing that’s happening to Sabrina carpenter. “The girl meets world star” it takes a lot of time to grow out of what people remembered you as. And I’m sure that everything was very over whelming for Grace, there’s no doubt she can’t remember winning. But it doesn’t matter because she’s done so much since then just as Sabrina carpenter has done so much since girl meets world. People just have to see them for who they are now.

I see comments of people saying she does remember agt but that she doesn't talk about it. Honestly, I trust her, since to me happened something similar, when I was twelve a lot of things happened to me, I even moved in several times since that and everything went crazy. I really think that when you experience a lot of things within a short period of time, you just don't process it and you forget it. She is probably fed up of being always known as the agt winner, but I don't think she was lying when she said she didn't remember anything, it can be true.

She’s just been very, very busy, so her memories are getting replaced very quickly. She’s not lying in the sense that she probably can’t recall things without some effort nowadays. Anyone who has been really busy doing many things with high stakes in a very short amount of time will know how she feels (e.g. recording multiple albums, multiple music videos, being in a movie, doing endless interviews, travelling a lot...)

What’s with all the depression conjecturing? Somebody had the right answer for Grace’s uneasiness: frustration with interviewers constantly bringing up AGT. She’s light years away from that show, and she has been since the last time she walked off that stage. NO contestant in the history of that show has been of Grace’s caliber-that’s just a fact. It would kinda be like introducing George Clooney as the star of “ER” (ok, maybe not yet). Commenters need to chill out. Kelly won Idol HOW MANY years ago? Like 18... And people still remember her because of that AS WELL AS the massive career that she launched after her win. Right now, Grace's career is still being built (her albums are great, but not universally known). Right now people still remember her for winning a talent competition. That doesn't means that's ALL she did, but it IS an accomplishment in her life that has changed everything about her life drastically. It's only been about 4 years, and Grace is not at a superstar level of famous yet (especially compared to a Jonas Brothers or Selena Gomez thing). In fact, I would say Grace is just a bit more famous than an average The Voice winner, and that is because she actually stayed busy after AGT instead of disappearing after her win... So the interviewers are just helping remind people who HAVEN'T heard of hear or followed her since AGT... it will spark people's interest to go check her out and see what she's been up to. Just because she won, doesn't mean she has a fully-established fanbase who follows her to every project.
