how many times can you make this scene? hulk fought abomination, thor, widow, thanos and here buster in pretty same fashion. mcu also kills off villains since they want to give room for new scenarios. yea i hope he actually fights in she hulk and against kang and so on, but this feral unpredictable destruction for the sake of destruction story arc has been done. even this particular fight felt like "ok now they got it over with maybe now they can focus on progressing an actual story"

@@kallemetsahalme5701 it's not just that we need more scenes like this, it's the fact that they ruined the character and it's essence, the hulk is a much more interesting character when there's a dichotomy between banner and hulk, it's like Jekyll and hide, a man cursed with unlimited power, power that left unchecked can be destructive and scary, but can be used for good not a goofball that dabs and cracks jokes all the time, that's not evolution that's devolution

(Banner realized that Professor Hulk isn't actually the genuine merging of Banner and Hulk, but merely another alternate, idealized and ultimately temporary personality. And following the death of Betty Ross, Marvel took the opportunity to restore Hulk to a more traditional, savage status quo. (The good news is that Betty got better.)) In comics Professor Hulk is one step away of going full savage. 😅 It's all on what MCU want's to do with Hulk and what Universal let's them. 🤔 There will be no solo movie, because Universal.

As much as I don’t like Age of Ultron, but damn, this fight is great. Firstly, Iron Man is engaging dangerous and angry opponent in the middle of heavily populated area and he knows there is no way to evacuate anyone or get a fight to some kind of safe zone. He knows he can’t overpower Hulk so he has to actually do something more creative. The fight is full of problem solving, like when he needs to replace his arm in the heat of battle and we see how he thinks and his reasoning. That’s just great storytelling. And secondly Iron Man actually goes out of his way to cause as little property damage as possible, but Hulk is not cooperating and even almost kills several people and somedody absolutely got hurt in the chaos. And only when Hulk is literally on top of him with no options left he decides to destroy an empty construction site while making sure the destruction doesn’t spread and bystanders don’t get buried under the debris. I feel like the general viewer takes all of this for granted and doesn’t pay much attention to it, but it’s SO very important. Back when Marvel movies were made by people who knew what they were doing.

craziest thing about hulk is according to his lore his power is limitless. more rage he harnesses the stronger he gets. i forgot which comic it was but i remember reading that in theory the longer the hulk is in a fight he continues to get stronger and stronger. however his power hasn't really reached it's full potential in comics as of yet that i know of.

i blame the simple rules of escalation. as the stories go on and on they need to invent dumbass things to make it seem like its always more epic. if hulks power was limitless he would eventually beat everyone who cant just teleport him away or destroy the planet under him. at that point you cant make a grounded story with hulk against rhino or abomination and say yea thats what we have. then all we have are scenarios like "unbeatable hulk vs unstoppable juggernaut" where 2 gods fight and one needs to lose for bs reasons. so all stories are like peter vs chicken
@dday906
@dday906 Жыл бұрын
Here's something to think about though: Many people don't realize (or straight up ignore) that while Hulk's potential strength is limitless, his anger isn't. Like regular people, Hulk can't just keep getting angry. Eventually, his anger will run out and he'll just become apathetic. They showed this many times in the comics when Hulk faces a strong enough opponent and they can beat him. A strong enough enemy can, basically, tire Hulk out and he turns back into Bruce. It happened with his first encounter with the Abomination, who is naturally stronger than Hulk's base form. He beat the Hulk so badly, Hulk reverted to Bruce. Another famous time it happened was when World Breaker Hulk fought Sentry, and they both fought each other until they both tired out and reverted to their normal selves. You even see it here. Hulk gets out the rubble and sees the damage he's done, the people running scared, and it's causing him to calm down from regret. That's why the Hulkbuster was able to knock him out before he got all worked up again. The "saving grace," however, is that it tends to not go the same way a second time. Obviously shown when Hulk fought the Abomination the second time, in the comics, Hulk was not gonna let his ass get kicked again and just got more angry until he had Abomination beaten into the ground. So, usually, Hulk's anger grows to last longer, hence he continues to get stronger. Thanos is one of the very few beings that can consistently beat Hulk, not just because he's stronger than Hulk, but knows how to strike him to actually put him down.

Even as cool as this scene was, they still seriously nerfed Hulk a lot. Hulk in a full-blown rage, by himself, can cause as much devastation as the Zod fight in "Man of Steel". Add someone fighting him to the mix, and there would be entire blocks of that city leveled. But, I realize how difficult that would be to show on film.

With the rumors of World War Hulk down the road I think like with most things in the MCU patience is everything. Would be nice to have the best version asap but then once it's here, that's it. Everyone in the MCU is nerfed. It allows for longer narratives. Characters have time to grow into behemoths. DCs approach with the" let's give them all of it now" lead to some absolute trash. At least marvels misteps are countered by the abundance of positive material they've produced so far. And there's also the annoyance behind the scenes with contracts and rights and what not. I trust what they're doing, even more so considering their "failures" are at least still a fun watch.

Do you have cars and buildings like that? I was so baffled by the sheer ignorance and being at a loss of words, I just answered no, that's fiction. It's Marvel. There's no such thing on the whole continent, except for Pretoria the capital of South Africa. The rest of us sleep in trees and ride donkeys. This scene was actually shot in Johannesburg. But yeah, being from South Africa myself, I can totally relate. I had an American lady I have on Facebook post a video showing a weird incident in Ghana tag me in it and then proceed to ask me if I knew what's going on in it and if this is something that is common in Africa. All because she assumed I would know because you know, it's happening in Africa and I live in Africa, clearly not taking into account the fact that it was happening in Ghana and I'm in South Africa. I scolded her, as kindly as I could on her obvious ignorance about Africa, on clearly believing it's one single country. I even made an example that it would be like me posting a video of something unusual happening in Canada or Mexico or Alaska and then tagging her and asking her about it because I would assume she would know since its in North America. She felt so bad about it that she even deleted the post, lol.

@@The_Starscourge You know something. Sometimes, the Marvel Universe is so funny with all of this. Years ago, everything was cut and dry, but now you have to go through Marvel and Disney and MCU and even Fox Studios, besides any others. You have to wonder about who got what rights, and who has what contract agreements. When the first X-Men movie was on the big screen, everyone wondered how come Rogue does not fly. And the reason went even beyond the Captain Marvel encounter. Things are so much more complex nowadays, and not so easy to explain away. Anyway, if we go waaaaay back to the 1974 Marvel Comics Team Up edition #18. The Hulk and the Human Torch battle one another. My older brother had that comic book when I was young. Of course I was to young to read it then, but as I got older I read it. If memory serves me correct, after teaming up with the Human Torch, eventually Hulk used his bare hands to bend adamantium, and enclose Blastarr inside an adamantium prison. That was then. What would they do now? I honestly don't know! With so many players involved and wondering what copyrights would be where tomorrow, I don't know. I believe I read during the "Age of Apocalypse" Cyclops used his optic blast to blast Wolverine's adamantium arm off (Wolverine is said to have taken an eye in return),but would they dare do that in the movies? I seriously doubt it, but the again, I don't know nowadays. It's like you learn as you go along. Whew!
