technically speaking, breaking the fourth wall is when you directly speak to the audience, rather than those random references that what you're watching isn't real so basically those lines are what we in the business call 'beating the shit out of the fourth wall'

i’m just asking this, but can we consider molag as breaking the fourth wall? she IS a narrator after all. the narrator’s job is basically talking to the audience. asking as a fan edit: except for her line “and that’s where i come in! ha ha!” because that is fourth wall breaking and the whole “don’t be mean to lauren” part

Well, I wasn't really sure about that, but I just decided to count any interactions with the audience 'breaking the fourth wall', as Molag is talking to them "through" the fourth wall. At least when she directly adresses them as Priviledged Fucks for example

the reference to glee would actually be considered a "meta-reference" (i believe). though the joke is definitely mean for the audience, they character's are not addressing the audience directly; it's not like "hey, audience, you know glee?" and keeri giving feedback on the dancing would just mean that the song climate change (and by extension, the dancing) is diegetic, or it exists in the universe of the show. i feel like i'm over explaining this my knowledge from my theatre studies has literally never come in handy before!
