Actually Sunbeam and Frostpaw DO interact, when Sunbeam is helping that one cat over to River Clan and puts on her detective hat for a little bit and starts to think something is wrong...I won't spoil it any more than that, but I do see a lot of fans making this mistake, and as the Number 1 River fan, I must put a stop to it here and now!

I love Frostpaw. She and Sunbeam are probably my favorite new protagonists of the arc (thank god we finally have two female POV characters who AREN’T SISTERS) and their conflicts are super interesting to me. For some reason I thought Frostpaw was a super pale gray, almost white with gray coloration on her face, paws, etc. I guess I was wrong. I also imagined Sunbeam had more white on her, but not pure white more sandy colored. I also love her name, one of my favorite warrior cat names. Flamepaw is black of course but I like how some people give him some really really dark ginger/reddish-brown parts. Just for a bit more intrigue in his design. But not light enough that it can be mistaken for ginger like his mom or great-grandfather. I also like the implication (?) that Sparkpelt kind of drew away from him because he looks exactly like her dead mate (also he’s mentored by his grandma Lilyheart, I hope he keeps the heart suffix because of her).

I was really hoping Frostpaw would be a white cat or canonically a color point cat. It really feels like they roll the dice on what shade of gray they want their protagonist to be and roll with it. Please Erins, let Frostpaw be the last gray cat protag for at least the next five years 😩

I’d really like it if Flamepaw left the clans all together. It’s a much better alternative than him joining ShadowClan to be with Sunbeam (please erin’s I am begging you don’t do this) and I think it would fit him. He seems to dislike the clans feelings of superiority, so I really think becoming a loner would make him happy. I imagine if he did become a loner he would keep the prefix of his name and lose the suffix, maybe he’d live nearby so he could visit Finchpaw, Baypaw, Myrtlepaw and Sorrelstripe. Or maybe he’d become the new Ravenpaw and Barley, a cat who lets travellers rest at his place. He probably wouldn’t be as hospital though, I imagine him being cranky and poking fun at the cats who stay with him, sort of like Jayfeather. I dunno I think it would be fun

I personally think it would be cool to have a villain be a perspective character since we’ve only had Clear Sky (and Hollyleaf, although we don’t do much with evil Hollyleaf) and he is referred to as the best villain in the series. I’d like to see this happen to a character (not even this ark) like Flamepaw, and judging from some iffy author tweets, Finchpaw might push him over the edge. Art looks amazing btw

I really like your art style it's so different and unique and cute. Also I really like how they handled Flamepaw's identity thing the end result was very nice, but also bittersweet you get the feeling this isn't what he wanted but he'll have to settle. I also wonder if he'll just end up leaving ThunderClan not just because of Sunbeam but because they can't see him for who HE is vs his ancestry. That is a big problem in TC that I hope continues to get addressed. Thornclaw did a good job calling it out in the Broken Code arc as well.

Alot of people say that it wasn't a problem for other people to be Firestar's descendants, and although it wasn't as much of a problem than Flamepaw's (also note most of them weren't named after Firestar at all) Lionpaw also mentioned the pressure once.

It was really nice to watch this speedpaint! I like to paint digitally like that too- it just feels a lot more like traditional painting. (with the added benefit of being able to make a new layer when you really don't want to mess up what you currently have) For Sunbeam I am incapable of her looking anything but exactly like my own cat, whose name just happens to be Sunny and is also a white and brown tabby cat. It's such a fun coincidence

This is so cute!! I don’t draw cats (or any animal) with the right amount of toes lol, I always give them three on each paw. For like, two weeks I went through a phase where I was just like “NO I need to draw them with the right amount of toes!!” But then it looked weird in my style so I stopped lol

regarding the brushes: it's pretty easy to just find the default brush without edits if you perhaps wanna link it that way!! you go to the downloaded materials (default layout has a vertical bar with a bunch of little folder shapes, the folder with a star in it has downloaded materials) and when you hover over a material there is a little popout icon in the top right corner of that. click it and the page the brush is from will show up! NOTE: to find all downloaded brushes you have to select "download" (it's below 3D) for you since your layout is edited: windows tab (to the left of the "help" tab) > hover over "workspace" in the menu > click "register as workspace" :D that way your current workspace will be there to go back to! then in that same menu go to workspace > reset to default so you can get the menu with the folders. when u are done finding downloaded brushes you can change your workspace back to the one you registered. :) u can also just reload the workspace after it's set to default in the same "workspace" menu.

its funny how ppls designs differ i think.. ive always thought of frostpaw as this pale silver-blue and brown cat with a big pile of fluff on her neck.. i also put star-lookin flowers in that mane because i reeaaaally associate her w molly blyndeff from epithet erased for some reason? my sunbeam design is pretty close to urs its just a tad more fluffy (mane again lol) and i made flamepaw look like SCOURGE.. because i think itd be funny to have a cat who lives in firestars shadow look like a cat he himself killed

To be honest i draw frost paw and bristle frost kind of similar giving them a big fluffy mane of silver fur around there neck and a long furred feathery tail
