As an instructor, I really appreciate your style (esp. humour), your pace, and your graphics. For students who need to slow down, they can adjust playback speed. For students who are reviewing, the pace is great. For students who are previewing (which I strongly suggest before any lecture), you provide a complete run up. If proteins would get passed into the Bowman cp. we will gave greater than 10+ mmHg positive and the filtration rate ...would increase giving polyuria and PLN (nephrosis). Is this right? (Just knotting my ends😊) Thank you.

Osmotic pressure does not equal oncotic pressure. Colloid-osmotic pressure equals oncotic pressure.

Hi Medicosis! Thanks for all that you do. Question: If hydrostatic pressure depends on how much blood is in the vessel, and veins have more area relative to arteries, shouldn't veins have more pressure because there are just more molecules able to apply pressure to the sides of the vessel? I'm confused because my understanding is that veins have lower hydrostatic pressure relative to arteries.

@Medicosis Perfectionalis I have a question/doubt but I'm going to sound really dumb asking it, so pardon me. This has really been bothering me for the longest time. When the lumen of a blood vessel narrows, we say that blood pressure increases. This blood pressure is told to be the same as hydrostatic pressure. Then how come a lower volume of blood causes a greater pressure in a narrow lumen than a greater volume of blood in a dilated lumen? And how can blood pressure be high but hydrostatic pressure low as we see in a constricted blood vessel? Thank you.

Blood pressure isn’t the same as hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure depends on the volume of blood mainly, whereas blood pressure is force “of volume of blood” divided by surface area. These are different concepts that look at hemodynamics from different angles. Hope this helps!
