Thank you for showing how to re assemble it. Mine came apart as the spring tab at the pointy end unscrewed itself 👍

Mike- Brilliant Thanks ! BTW I substituted a wooden jawed vice for my "third hand" and it made the operation pretty smooth. Second try.

Wow, I cant believe those are $35!!! I enter the location in the controller differently. When you initially find the edge I enter the exact dimension it is at, not 0.000. example being .100 if I am using the .200 end of the edgefinder. The reason I do this is that its quicker and less chance to make an error since you don't have to move the table twice.

I think $35 is a bargain for high-quality American made edge finders. You can buy some cheap ones for about $15 and they don’t work as well as a Starrett one. I was trained along time ago is zero out and then you move over half the diameter of the edge finder. This is easier for me to keep my Mind right.
