Let me start to say Whitney is probably the best female vocalist that ever walk the earth. She did an amazing cover of Dollys song I will always love you. What Erik did here was took the song to the next level. As a vocalist my self on a pretty high level this version from Erik goes directly to my heart. I cried like a baby first time I heard it. His emotion and power house of a voice is amazing. I have followed Erik since he was a young boy and this is the best performance I heard from him. And he have done so many amazing covers but this one is the best version of this song I ever heard. I totally can understand your reaction on this one. Only a heartless person still untouched after listen to this one.

Great reaction! Erik is an amazing singer for sure. And it was a great idea for a male to record this song, granted if that man has the power and range. CHECK! 😉😆 You know me in the comments as one of the biggest Angelina Jordan fans, and I'm from Norway like her, and here in Scandinavia we stand up for each other always. And with Erik, standing up is an absolute no-brainer. Now that I mentioned Angelina, I think you should react to her newest original, that she wrote together with Toby Gad (The man behind All Of Me by John Legend, If I Were A Boy made famous by Beyoncé, Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie and Skyscraper by Demi Lovato, just to mention a few. The song is called "Bad Valentine" and hasn't released yet, but there is an incredible live performance of it from a small, intimate stage in the states. You will find the video on the channel of James Thiel. You have never heard Angelina that way, I promise 🙂 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

I would argue that this is hands down the best male cover of this song ever recorded. Not only is this song incredibly hard to sing from technical perspective, he also nails the "Soul" of the song so well, something that Whitney Houston carried so deeply. Coz it's one thing to perform with technique, but it takes something really special to be able to embed your soul within a song. And that to me is what set great singers apart from the rest.

@@GoodTimes4All I don't think comparing a male voice to female voice in terms of which is better is a good way to look at it. But parts of the song i can agree it is to my ear, but in the same vein, some other parts i do not agree. To me, it is by far the best male cover ever recorded of this song though.

Erik does covers what he personaly like. He was until resantly lead singer in hard rock band Skid Row. But of health care he step back and now he´s doing youtube. every friday he come with some new covers. He does everything from Jhonny cash to Maria carey. He can really sing and make even covers personaly. In sweden ( im swedish) he´s a huge star already. And come up as singer after he won The swedish idol 2009. Check hes youtube channel. Mówię do komórki w języku polskim jest program pani z udziałem Sabaton zespołu szwedzkiego i Najśmieszniejsze jest to że ja mam coś tam podbić żeby pani komentarz obejrzeć nawet mi się nie chce śmiać czy pani koleżanko i wiele podobnych koleżanek na tym świecie myślicie że Polacy muszą być durniami tak naprawdę nie zależy mi tak na końcu na pani komentarzu Pewna kobieta z drugiej strony naszego świata ocenia coś tam coś tam ale rewelacja
