Despite of all the negativity... I remember when my late grandfather Leonard Cozad Sr. had a NEW song to reavel... Grandfather called all his 10 sons and 7 daughters & grandchildren to remember his beautiful music of the drum. Grandfather Leonard Cozad Sr always said... Take care of this drum... It will take care of you. I miss my late father James Cozad & all my family. Blessings to all. ❤

I hope one day we stop sending our sons and daughters to fight and die in fake wars for the imperialist state that has ruined this land in which only banks and wall street profits.

Thank you Mr. Cozad and family. I appreciate all of our armed forces! The men and women who serve and keep us protected. Unfortunately, our feelings can be mixed with some ugly facts that happened to us as a group and to individuals. I want to acknowledge this. The song is a honor song for those who sacrifice greatly and deeply to SERVE. In life we do not get to change history this is a song to acknowledge. If our government didn't acknowledge natives that. Our own people will acknowledge them. Just one more fact our boys are FORCED to serve the US government... or be marked as a coward (or imprisoned). Mr. Cozad thank you again for your thoughtfulness and your song. Beeshbeena, Tohono o'odom/Acoma Pueblo

Protect us from what? 9/11 was an inside job, Ukraine is a pawn, Afghanistan was fake, Vietnam was fake, I could go on. The imperialist state uses us as cannon fodder in their fake wars so big banks and wall street can profit. Nobody in my family who's served has gained anything accept alcoholism, depression and a Sh*tty VA system. We deserve better.

I used to dance grass n sing up to the mid 90's, then I entered the Marine Corps. In 2004 I got Honorably Discharged. Going to a powwow isn't the same anymore, no discipline, youngsters don't respect anyone. My brother and I were trying to leave a powwow and a click of teen grassdancers wouldn't allow us to walk through the doorway. My brother kept saying," excuse us". And they just brushed us off. I had to raise my voice, make a seen, to move them. I'm sure their version is I was the bad guy. So I haven't been back. Even at that powwow the flag song just didn't mean anything to the youngsters.

I'll say!! The young ones have no direction & want to boss their elders! Very shameful! They need a good willow switch across the back! Ha!

@@MrStaybrown yeah, I saw that (in the video). Thank you for your service. I hope you consider going back, it is how we heal. Being around our people, people who understand, people who look like us, people who know the struggle, our people. Then we gor back to our white jobs on Monday and do it all again. I also want to say that things will never be the same.... accepting change in all things is a part of the healing process. I hope you and your family made it covid. Sadly some of mine did not, and I was half dead after I got it... but the good news is we are here today. Sending hope, love and healing.

@@jaysmilinghorse2031 too bad ppl are still brainwashed enough to join the military that once sought out to extinguish the indigenous people. Why fight for the profits of big banks and wall street? Why not stand and protect our land, water, resources and kin from these money sucking scum?

How do I know my great Grandma was American Indian? She was unable to cry. But she would howl like a wolf.
@april48724 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry that people ruined so much of the indigenous people of the Americas . It's so devastating to see people wrapped up in their culture and expressing only what they are allowed. The 'father' with the pink binky on his head and the other stone faced fellow gave me the creeps. Soon I hope the people will get their rights and freedom that was taken from them. I do understand that something is better than nothing but you deserve much more than this. With you all in spirit from India. Peace✌
