Lyrics:
Lookin' in your eyes I see a paradise
This world that I found is too good to be true
Standin' here beside you
Want so much to give you this love in my heart
That I'm feelin' for you
Let 'em say we're crazy, I don't care 'bout that
Put your hand in my hand
Baby, don't ever look back
Let the world around us just fall apart
Baby, we can make it if we're heart to heart
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
Nothing's gonna stop us now
Oh, whoa
I'm so glad I found you, I'm not gonna lose you
Whatever it takes I will stay here with you
Take it to the good times
See it through the bad times
Whatever it takes is what I'm gonna do
Let 'em say we're crazy
What do they know?
Put your arms around me
Baby, don't ever let go
Let the world around us just fall apart
Baby, we can make it if we're heart to heart
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
Nothing's gonna stop us
Ooh, all that I need is you
All that I ever need
And all that I want to do
Is hold you forever and ever and ever, hey
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
Nothing's gonna stop us, woah
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
(Nothing's gonna stop us now)
If this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
(Oh, no)
And we can build this dream together (Hey baby)
Standing strong forever (I know)
Nothing's gonna stop us now (Hey baby, nothing's gonna stop us)
If this world runs out of lovers (Hey baby, ooh)
We'll still have each other (Nothing's gonna)
Nothing's gonna stop us (Hey baby, nothing's gonna stop us now, yeah)
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now

For all people who'll read this. For each of you. In this confusing world, among all the differencies that tear us apart, against all the odds - stay strong, stay sharp - as much as needed to keep some place for love in your heart. Some love, mercy and compassion even for hated, despised and pitiful ones. You can forget, you can be weak to keep it, but try to stay human, always.

At 70, this song gets my adrenalin moving. I was a young man in the 80s and got to enjoy all the incredible music. So many different genres, so many different styles to choose from, so many artists selected by record companies because they were talented, not because a corporation used statistical analysis to see what teeny boppers would buy and then "created" someone to sing it using auto tune.

In 1984, I met and married the most wonderful woman I have ever known. 40 years later, she is more beautiful and amazing than ever. No stopping us!!! We still enjoy Corvettes as I surprised her with a 22 C8 Corvette (This one is all hers). She was absolutely blown away!!!! But better than that we have 7 children born between 1985 and 1996. Now have 5 grandchildren. We only listen to 70s and 80s music, especially when out cruising in any of our amazing cars! A happy wife is a blessing!

I could use the love of God and the giving back to fellow man. As I read about your religion and multitude of exotic cars I thought you may be someone that can help me. I had my one and only vehicle stolen while warming up in my driveway last Saturday. I am not in a financial place to get another vehicle at this time. I am husband and father and do my best to provide for my family. Unfortunately have had some health issues that caused bills to add up and now that I need a vehicle I cant get one. If you feel the love of God and giving of his spirit and could sacrifice a running vehicle to me, please let me know and I would be forever grateful. I need God's help and the help of man/God's warriors as I need to get to work to support my family. Can you offer me the lowest value car you own to help me get to work and support my family and you can continue God's mission of giving to what others don't have? Please help. Thank you

The 80s was a time of musical and theatrical change. Fashion paved way for newer fashions, And much of today's music are stolen riffs and beats from the 80s, much like 90s hip hop was sampled from the earth wind and fire generation. We compare the Lady gaGa's, Justin Beibers and Miley Cyrus' of today with the lackluster hits of the 80s such as Tiffany, Debarge, and M.C. Hammer, and we feel the music come from a place where fashion exploded, Movies were well written, and goths would kick emo kids asses. A time where the only school shootings took place at colleges, not in first grade classes, where the comedians got together to help the homeless, and pop stars got together with Michael Jackson to Help Africa. Causes were started, emotions were touched, to Quote the D.J. from Vice city, "its so Emotional" Sure the 80s was a bad time as well as any other decade, even worse in some cases, Reagen was going to push the button, russia hated us, the middle east was being trained by our own people to later come back and bite us in the ass. But all attacks on the world trade center from 1970s to 2000 were failed and flawed and the towers stood strong. Religious cults ran rampid, and we hade 40% more freedom then we do today. We always knew where the person was on ther other end of the line, because we still had lines for phone service. As children we went outside and played, not shoved our noses in a phone with no social interaction outside of a facebook like. We knew of stranger danger, and there was literally break dancing in the street with a whole community watching after each other. As a white male who was raise in the middle of Ghetto south side, I knew my neighbors cared about me and we all watched each others backs, and we all made sure our neighborhood children were safe. Today our children are plotting to meet people they don't know from webpages that are easily forged, our neighbors are meth head, wife beating, child molesting alcoholics. So each decade has its benefits and flaws, each generation has it's sickos and perverts. But in the 80s, people became a community of fashion, music, and held onto what was left of a culture we built. and from that culture We built this city on rock and roll. Today we have Zombie kids walking the streets at night with the tint of their cel phones lighting the way as they look for their next Pokemon. Don't get me wrong I have been a Pokemon fan since the cartoon, Gameboy games, and even owned a copy og Pokemon Snap, but today's Social antisocial experiment to make Pokemon a mainstream zombie tool is just absurd. In the 80s zombies were something you saw in movies only, not in the streets of Florida eating homeless men's faces, or in San Antonio eating their own infant. So we can look at all tragedy from that day to this, The tornadoes, the floods, the bombings, the child abuse and neglect. I would rather have the 80s over this. When did it all go downhill? Mid 1990s, when Tupc died and cel phones exploded. When the awesome windows 98 was replaced with the most aweful, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Harry Potter was a direct ripoff of The Worst Witch The Lord of the rings was an absurd copy of its cartoon counterpart. Pete's dragon was a loving cartoon movie mix,. i don't even know what to think of today's Pete's dragon. Every movie today is ripping off an 80s movie or cartoon. So why is the 1980s a better decade, most of todays movies and tv is a spawn or recreation of the 80s....

If I get married my song would be a tie between this is the one and "Bryan Adams' "Everything I do". If my boyfriend and I do get married, the first one fits because of people thinking we won't last and that we're crazy for getting together "too early", according to them. And also because I know we'll have ups and downs, given our past. But we support and understand each other. He kept having these intrusive thoughts like "if this doesn't work", or "if your mom tries to break us up". Last night, I took some quotes from the song and sent it to him, and I told him it doesn't matter what people say, and not to worry, as long as we're honest and true to each other. Adam's song is also a perfect wedding song because it illustrates the love and sacrifice people should have for each other.

This song was written about my life. I met the most beautiful and amazing woman 40 years ago at the lowest point of my life. I was broken. She introduced me to Jesus. That was a life changer. God has blessed us abundantly as He made her my wife!!!!!! We are now closer and deeper in love than ever. We so enjoy listening to the 70s & 80s music, especially this song, when we go out crusing in the exotic speed machine I bought her a few months ago, just because I like her. She still looks hotter than the car, and I don't mind that kind of problem! On top of that, we have 7 adult children and our 5 grandchildren. I consider myself to be the most blessed man alive!!!!!

Shani Dragneel I was born in China, but I lived almost all my life in Canada, so I don't really know about music vibes or trends in Asia haha. For American music, I would say that most popular artists rely too much on the same themes (sex, drugs, trash talk) and therefore the music has lost much of its originality and magic "touch".

why did music feel so much 'warmer' back then? like you swear you can HEAR the sun shining in the music. i miss the 80s. Synth sounded cheery and from the future, saxaphones brought us into great solos and reprises, and harmonies were positive and loving. also, its nuts that this is some of the same crowd who brought us White Rabbit, Somebody To Love & Find Your Way Back.

I have my own theory for that. I am not from that time but i have heard that psychedelics were cool and common in that time among the musicians. Maybe that the frequent tripping experiences just had them tuned excellently into the vibe of a common man's sweetspot taste for music.

Why do the 80's/90's songs seem to have so much more genuine happiness to them? Today's are just depressing as hell.

Because they enjoyed the benefits of 5 decades of struggles and created a lot of the mess that we have to work through and overcome today. It could mean they were fortunate to enjoy stuff and we are fortunate to usher in the next stage of progress so that our children may enjoy it.

I can never watch this video without watching the guitar player and others faces and dance moves in the background throughout. Alot of bands hated making music videos but I just get the feeling it was a fun day or two on set making this video. 😬

Hoàng Trần Văn And the 60s and 70s! 😂 Seriously, there‘s so much great music out there, I‘d be hard pressed if I had to choose just one favourite decade. Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Nina Simone, ABBA, Aerosmith, MeatLoaf, Cindy Lauper, Metallica, OneRepublic, Nirvana, Angus&Julia Stone, Alanis Morissette, Nik Kershaw, Queen, Soundgarden, The Cranberries, Simon&Garfunkel, Billie Eilish, RunDMC, Eminem, TheBeatles....
