Yes, that's a great thought...we ALL benefit from the inclusive spirit of sharing in the online art community!! There are so many of us who get to experience a whole new world that was just waiting with open arms to welcome us. Many of us are retired, or infirmed, or alone & forgotten, or just love creating, & people like you are so generous with sharing what you've learned. I guess many of the artists will never know the far reaching impact they have had & continue to have on so many lives. Thank You from one of them!!

Going to be a cute book. Arty m puts glue on the back of her hand then drags it threw those thin parts. I love that. Really works. Then it just peels of your hand when it drys. Nice.

I'm really enjoying this altered book demonstration! I haven't done one yet but it's on the list and watching you do it from start to finish is perfect. It is so lovely. What a brilliant idea your daughter and her friends have come up with to hire a 'tutor'. Teaching is a pretty specialized profession and parents are parents, not educational teachers. Everyone benefits!

Good Morning Gayle. Kudos to your daughter and her friends. The "tutor" for your grandkids is an excellent idea. I think you (or your daughter) will see that the students are actually learning faster and retaining the information because the distractions of a public school settings are gone. I homeschooled my 3 kids when it was just beginning to take hold. Here in California we were on the forefront of acceptance and legalizing home schooling. My daughter has 2 degrees and now working on a Masters. The whole time she has stayed employed. The boys were not particularly found of school - public or private ( they did both) but are gainfully employed. Educating children is challenging but very rewarding, no matter the method of instruction.

The group teaching was on the news, they are calling it "Micro Schooling". There is a mother in my state MA created a Group on facebook and it went viral. They were saying not everyone can afford it but a lot of families are going for it fearing for their children's health. No one knows the long term effect of the virus on the human body yet, scary stuff!. Beautiful ephemera! I love the bunnies! Don't forget to use the paper ruffle roll I sent you, might come useful in this project. Thank you for the beautiful work you do Gayle, you are such an inspiration!!!!

Hi Gayle! Love your ephemera pieces! The colours are so pretty. As your daughter tries to figure out what school will look like this year I have a suggestion. Firstly I love her idea of working with other parents and a qualified teacher. I home schooled my three grandkids for eight years. During that time I came across a website that I found invaluable. Teachers Pay Teachers. This is a sight where you can, for a small price, buy digitals for every subject and grade level. Each digital is aligned to State standards. Everything is created by teachers for teachers! Not only can you get quality lessons and assignments but you are helping teachers at a time when some may not have work in the fall. I would love to hear what she thinks if she does check them out. Hugs and blessings, Laura 🤗❤️🇨🇦

I’m right with you Gayle! I fall, trip, stub my toes at least every day. But a few weeks ago I ran to kitchen sink b4 water overflowed and the broom fell & I tripped on the hard wood floors flat spreadeagled and face first! My eyes were black & blue, I’m already crazy so who knows about my head & my eyes are a problem and now have more floaters and have bad knees, feet & , arthritis & snything else you can think of but the next 2 days I felt like a truck ran over me! And I’m by myself! It’s prob good u couldn’t bread your fall because u could hurt yourself worse (I know)! I go too fast & never put on lights & that doesn’t help buy the older you get your balance gets a little off so start doing balancing exercises now! I even broke my foot & had to have a pin put in because I missed the last step & trying to stop myself made it worse! But it’s natural thing! That’s y if u see an older person like in a Nursing home or anywhere, ur not supposed to help! I don’t think I could do that but that’s the suggestion! Go slower & be careful so u can continue crafting:-))👍. Gail

The homeschool program (ACE) that I done was self taught. [as most homeschool programs are] The books explained everything that I needed to know in order to complete the work. I would read a page or two, and then do a worksheet. I graded my own work. No it’s not possible to cheat because you would get caught by failing the test at the end of the workbook. The tests was the only thing that my mom ever graded. I think a lot of parents are having such a hard time with this homeschooling idea because they are misinformed. I hardly ever had to ask for help, because all the information that I needed was in the workbook. It’s not difficult at all. Most kids who are homeschooled are more advanced than public school kids. Most homeschool kids get done with their work in about 5 hours. Where as public school kids go to school for 7 hours and then bring all their work home, adding additional hours to their school time. This is because in public school the teacher talks the entire period, then the kids bring their work home, forgetting what the teacher taught, and struggle to accomplish the work because there is no one to help them with it when they are actually trying to accomplish it. With homeschool the (help) is always in your workbook and you can refer to it at anytime. You also don’t have the waisted time of teachers yelling at students to listen, to sit properly in their chair, to stop talking, to stop trying to leave the classroom when the bell rings because it’s the teacher that dismisses them not the bell, bla bla bla.... I went to public school for many years, I went to a private school for a few, and was homeschooled for many years, and went back and fourth from one to the other. So I can vouch for it all. Simply, if done right, homeschool is not bad or difficult at all. To answer many people’s question, yes, Colleges accept homeschooled students. Colleges actually told my family that they prefer homeschool students because of their maturity level.

You aren’t doing anything wrong at all! The inner pages will poke out a little as they nest into the signature. Sometimes I trim them, but sometimes I add lace or a ruffle to the first and last pages (usually some in between too) and they’ll cover those pages that are peeking out. 😁❤️

I braved going to the $ Store (mask in tow) today and the book I ended up with has pictures in the center (slick pages). What to do, what to do? (-; I have counted them in, but will it work to use them?

I think it would still work. You might have to use a stronger glue like fabritac to cover the pages though rather than glue stick. ❤️

I was thinking bird for that last tag and you picked the perfect one. Was it from a digital?

Hi Gayle, I just started watching your channel. Can you give me some ideas of where to get collage papers like you print out? I don’t want to do the digital route. Thanks!

Hi Kristi! Welcome to my channel! I’m so glad you’re here! To be honest, I’ve never seen as creative and inspiring papers to collage with as what I find from digital artists on Etsy. If you don’t want digitals, then your only option is scrapbook paper as far as I can see. I think for collage your best bet would be Blue Fern Studios or Stamperia for collage type designs. They, however, would be too thick for this particular project. I print my digitals on copy paper for so they don’t bulk up the altered book. ❤️
