For some context: Ladder 42 was produced in 2001, and refurbished in 2006. It currently acts as the oldest frontline rig in the department, Its bound to have some issues. In this example, im not sure what was wrong, but feel free to guess in the comments. Ladder 42 IS scheduled to be replaced. (I was just told they tend to rev up the truck in order to unlock the brakes, so it was likely a parking brake issue/issue with air brakes)

@@SC.5B matthewenada I haven't seen any new trucks But I've heard that Truck 20 might replace quint 42 Or that Quints going to be a new Aerial, similar to Quint 9 (Which got into an MVA not to long ago)

Mack, American Lafrance and Seagrave were the best.Some of them are in museums but would still kick ass!

No kidding! Tbh the E-One lasted a while. Hasn't been a reserve in a minute Last time a reserve took it's spot was September Time Holding up pretty well for a 2001

Start up issue can be from starter moter or a week battery maybe even both or has a timing issue some sort or engine problems mostly i am not 100% sure but could be any one of those

Thanks for letting me know. Couldn't hear what they were saying but The firefighter went around the rear driver side to fix the issue, and their fuel tank cover was open when they drove off (And that they revved the engine and all at)

Eone Expected One Of The Departments I Buff Just Got A 75ft Quint And They Had To Send It All The Way Back To Florida For More Than 1 Problem

This one was great up until about 2020 I've got a time lapse of it being towed :/ Glad they're replacing it

Agreed. Thanks for watching! (This one will especially break because it's from 2001 👀) (Far as truck goes, Trucks in our county refer to platforms, while ladders refer to sticks)

Modern junk. Might be safer and better equipped but not the engines or drivetrain. You can thank government regulations. Boston had to replace their entire fleet of KMEs about 10 years ago because of similar problems.
