I love the free parting too because they fall better. Also I was stressing about my parting too. When I was starting mine off, I felt like stressing about perfect parts took too much time so I just stopped caring. Lol. I love how my hair came out. I'm a little of a month into my journey

I have a question…i’m considering getting locs but my only worry is that they will be too short for my liking, my hair is shoulder length so my only question is will my hair shrink or will my locs appear shorter? I’ve been told when you get locs your hair shrinks. 😬

@@Marks_facts_are_checked well me dad ended up getting covid so I had to wait a whole month to get them retwisted😫. Congratulations on Your journey! Holes in the locs from not twisting them tight enough can be repaired by interlocking the edges of the empty spaces bringing together the edges until the hole is closed. If You pull through the middle the hole enlarges. Also you can repair holes with tiny crochet needle entering and exiting holes as the loc is turned. I'm documenting My #microlocs #interlocs #braidlocs #microtwists journey as well!

This is gonna be my 2nd time with locs and I learned a lot with my first set of locs that I started everything your saying is 100%true My first set was 2019 long hair ,maturing,locing etc going into 2020 I didn’t like how I was doing too much retwisting , manipulating the hair and just doing a lot of stuff I wasn’t suppose to be Soo I combed my locs out in august and cut my damaged natural hair so now I’ve been growing it out to the length that I want and I did my loc February 3rd 2021 and I always wanted to start my locs on healthy short hair in the first place now that I’m done with my soft curly natural hair I’m happy I’m going back to my locs there sooooo pretty to me especially with my hair texture I already know what to expect 🤍 it is now February 5th and the back of my hair and the middle of my hair are very full and there already starting to budd with only water and a lil oil 🤍

I’m on day #5 with my locs, so should i wait until 2 weeks past to spray my hair since it might cause the coils to unravel or does it not matter? Also how long should i wait to wash my hair
@SXNAE2 жыл бұрын
i’d say waiting a week would be fine but 2 weeks to be safe just because you have coils. i waited about a month to wash my hair but you can wash it earlier than that, just have to be careful because they will unravel. make sure you use a wig cap when washing so it can help with that

The middle of my head is so thin and it looks so bad it's driving me CRAZY and making me want to take my locs down because they look dumb to me. i have coils and my hair keeps unraveling. what do you/ y’all suggest?
@SXNAE3 жыл бұрын
try using loc wax to mold them together, palm roll your locs the same direction for every retwist, don’t wash too often, tie your locs good every night, spray your hair 3-4 to help lock quicker, try a protective style, keep your locs moisturized so you won’t scratch your scalp too often. coils are prone to unraveling more often so you can also take that into consideration.
