I've gone back and forth the past couple of weeks, deciding on the type of locs I want to start my loc journey. After discovering you and your channel, I've made my final decision...two strand twists! I think my hair is a combination of your texture and your mom's, so seeing her locs also helped me with my decision. Thank you!

Your hair is beautiful! I am a new subscriber. I have been thinking about getting locs for the last 3 weeks. I have been doing my research watching videos, trying to make sure this is what I want to do. I have seen so many beautiful locs and I really am excited. I have worn every style under the sun except locs. I have worn like you 2 strand twist and kinky twist for most of my natural hair journey. I did the big chop back in 2008 and it grew back down my back, then my second big chop in 2021 so now I’m regretting chopping it off the second time because now I have to start my loc journey with my sides and back shaved. I have a protective kinky twist in so I can start letting my sides and back to grow in some. They too is fine, stretched out comes to almost my chin so I have something bro work with, but either way I will be stalking your channel lol so I can learn as much as possible. I’m a cosmetologist but never have I done locs, but I guess I was close because I did 2 strand twist all the time, I just never retwisted over and over. Thanks for sharing

I am new to this loc journey. I installed 2 strand twists on March 28, 2022. I was a loose natural for 10 years. I decided I wanted my hair to grow long and it wasn’t happening on natural hair - not even with protective styles. I’m learning and enjoying your content.

I'm currently on the 7th week of my loc journey. Already seeing budding and the frizz is abundant. I got tired of having to think of my next style all the time and braids were always my go to protective style. Plus I've always admired locs, been wanting them since I was a kid so I've come full circle I guess lol. Even with all the frizz I still haven't second guessed my decision thus far, so I'm very happy with my decision ☺

I’ve been searching videos past 2 months & natural past 8yrs. Gone from sewins to Crochets, & now braids past two years. I’ve admired locs for years now & I think I’m ready roblox my hair. Been on a spiritual journey as well & this will enable me more….I’m just scared I won’t be able to adjust to new look. I've been wanting locs for about a year now. I was thinking about it really hard, then one day I out bob box braids in my hair and boyfriend said "you should loc your hair, it would look good on you". So that was a huge sign for me. I'm just afraid I'll get bored and want my hair to be out. But for the past year all have wore are box braids and a ponytail, so I can probably do this. ❤️

Love your story so much! Locs are sooooo incredibly versatile. You can do twist outs, braid outs, put box braids over them, wear a wig on top, etc. I think you’ll love them 💖 the smaller your locs, the more versatile

I'm one month in with a two strand twist. I'm very tender headed with thick hair that loves tangles. I love to wash my hair so detangling was horrible. I 'water' my hair everyday. I wasn't trying to start locs. I washed my hair and took pieces with my fingers to detangle. As I moved to another piece, I twisted what I finished. When it was done I just left it like that. So I have different sizes and no straight partings but I love it! I'm a Gemini 6/18!

I recently had that light bulb go off too. I had relaxer and did to an illness I had to go bald and regrew my hair fun boy cut to all the way to the middle of my back until it got too much to handle and relaxed it two years ago. Now I'm going to cut it again and loc it finally

I am three months into my locs journey. Sometimes I am ready to take it out because mines is not locked yet. Because I’m trying to find a way of getting them to stay straight instead of sticking up. So I just did a wash and re-twist today on my arm so this is my second wash. it’s very hard to do it yourself for me so I am trying to find me a person that is a true true Loctician

After researching for 3-4 months… I started my two strand twist loc journey 12/30/23. It took a little over a month for me to get used to them. I had my first retwist 2/8/24. I invested in head wraps because the shrinkage is real and I have pieces sticking out which is irritating.

I have been wanting locs but was afraid of the process. My problem is that I was getting my hair relaxed. My last relaxer was on March 1, 2024. So I've decided that I really want to loc my hair but I have to let the relaxer grow out. Can you suggest some tips on researching locs?

My most useful tip for the first few weeks is to be patient and embrace the journey. Try not to manipulate your locs too much by styling or putting too much tension on your hair. You’ve got this! Keep me updated please 😍💗

Hi I am two weeks in. My hair looks a mess but I'm trying to hang in there to see progress. I'm only concern with my soft hair becoming r ally rough. I'm going to see what happens after a month. I wear a wig to work to keep my groomed look going.

Idk if I shud give up or wait until my grow and lock. I have 3 C hair and it’s soft . I started my loc journey with my hair very short so it’s a struggle lol idk if I shud extensions or not

Hey love! Do what feels right for you. I thought I was going to cover my starter locs with a protective style until they grew out more but I’m so happy I left my hair alone!!! I think curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to see what my hair could do on its own. I am LOVING the outcome lol
