I never realized how many starters are reptiles. The only trios that didn’t have at least 1 reptile were Alola and Hisui. And Venusaur might be considered a reptile. It has multiple inspirations including a dinosaur but also a frog which is an amphibian. But the “saur” might imply it’s more dino than frog. So if we count it as reptilian and not amphibian, the very first starter trio were all reptiles.

6v1: Skeledirge and Incineroar were knocked out when he entered his battle against the Fire alliance. Emboar was too slow to dodge Swampert’s attacks. And Cinderace was cleaned up by Sobble. And STILL held his edge against blaziken and Charizard.

But fair play to the man he got 20 kills( yes I counted, I included rillaboom as a kill because it died to the earthquake, I'm sorry but you cannot scientifically explain how a grass monkey who lost his drums, fell into the centre of the earth while in fire lived)

It's the Pokemon Emerald to Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, and considered one of if not the best game in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series. Unfortunately, it's also pretty difficult to get ahold of these days...last I knew a copy ran for a hundred bucks secondhand.

I mean H-Decidueye is worse than normal Decidueye and probably one of the worst Grass/Fighting types. H-Liligant and Breloom are MUCH better, which is kinda funny when you remember H-Liligant and H-Decidueye were introduced in the same game so you had 0 incentive to pick it. The only Grass/Fighting type that *might* be worse would be Chesnaught.

Swampert causing an earthquake, getting counter-earthquaked, and proceeding to hit the island with a tsunami was really hilarious.Also my man deserves some recognition, he was fighting the fire starters alone, if it wasn’t for rilaboom he may have won (he was x4 strong to all the remaining pokes, being also inmune to pikachu’s electric attacks)

@@rabbidthorI believe it has something to do with Rilla's ability. When he grabs Swampert, we can see grass growing on the ground, meaning that he has Grassy Surge. What are the properties of Grassy Terrain? Healing the grounded pokemons and halving the damage of moves such as *Earthquake*, so it kinda makes sense that he would be able to survive that (not sure how he survived the heat explosion before falling instead of straight up burning like the others, but whatever)

The alternative is that Torterra would simply kill him. Swampert's x4 weakness to grass would let the hands down best grass starter hit him with the giga drain. Not to mention Torterra also has a very good set up to beat down fire types as well despite being the grass starter.

Let's Go Eevee is absolutely busted when you look at the nonsense that they get from their unique move pool.. which got nerfed for future gens even though they're never coming back... Not even mentioning the massive stat buffs to keep them viable and strong for the whole game. It's no wonder that both of the Partner pokemon were just hanging out until the end there.
