I still drive one! Bought it back in 2012. 1.6 liter engine. It is a 2003 one and it has 124000miles on the clock which in my opinion is very low miles Cuz my 1999 Dodge RAM cummins has 268000 miles on. Anyways it still is a good one and by the way its a stick shift.

These Mazda BG's were crazy reliable back in the day. They rusted away at some point, but the engine never died... never! It really was Mazda's most reliable cars, that came in the 80's and 90's. They were much more reliable than other cars of the era. It was special cars too, in a way. You could always know a Mazda on the sound, and going from a BF to a BG (or the 323F), was like getting the old model painted. They were different on the outside, but driving the car was no different... they were completely the same to drive, even down to the clutchpoint. You instantly felt at home in a BG, coming from a BF - almost like the BG was just a facelift. Oh, btw... overheating one of these, is a big no-no. It will warp the head faster than saying "oops". Lucky thing, most of them never had that problem.

My first car. 323 1.3 BG, sedan similar to this in the video, same red. Good old times, the car just lasted me so long even after 300k and never had issues with it, even though I was hammering it and throwing into corners like a mad man. I had one story with it loosing exaust while on the road back to home, lol, me and my buddy had to stuck toilet paper to our ears because it was that loud, good old times.

Yes, one of the best 323's (BG) ever built. I have a 1990 1.8i manual since new. Has a lot of room (especially in the back). The only fault is a lack of low down torque and the high gearing only exacerbates this. Otherwise, a brilliant car!

Amazing reliable and economic car, had it for 11 years and no problems whatsoever. Took many long trips and enjoyed it so much, really miss it - they had the Mitsubishi motor which last long, long time - many kmts with no issues. Then bought a new Toyota Previa, and had the Mazda parked in my driveway for a year without using it, one day someone knocked at my door and begged me to sell it, the car started on the spot and the experience to see his smille when driving it away contrasting wiht my tears, was just overwhelming! Oh. I love them cars. My mom had A 323 hatchback the same color and we called it the egg. I had bought one from the police impound auction that was wrecked at the front. Many years ago. I had replaced the radiator support and sold it to a coworker. She went down and registered it and a couple weeks later the repo man took it from her house. Come to find out the car was on the repo list when it got impounded from the original owner. I had to go down to City Hall and get a letter showing that I bought it from the city impound and she had to take that paperwork to the car lot and show them. They gave her the car back. Boy she wasn't to happy with me. But she got over it.
