Great video. A tip for priming with the rubber bulb - hold the bulb vertically with the outlet hose (engine side) upper most. The valve inside will work much better that way.

Man, you are the best, I just purchased exactly the same boat, only 1 year difference, it’s a 2003 ProLine, with 2003 Mercury 150hp, 2 strokes, your videos are very helpful. I’m trying to install a better fish-finder, looking through your videos hope to find something!!!

Placing in neutral and giving gas is called advancing the throttle. This is only needed for carbureted motors.

@@FKCamVlogs I had a L6 Mercury and when I first got it I killed 2 batteries trying to start it. I have 03 EFI model same as yours. I boat out of Edgewater.

Once the engine started , does the throttle still remains forward?

It depends but not necessarily, if it cuts off then leave it little forward, once it revs or warms up pull it back. Never rev too high. Hope this helps!
