Avoid duckweeds as it is difficult to clean it change the water. U can have big leaves floating plants

Yes you can propagate them and as you know it takes a bit longer to reach you because of the current situation so that might be the reason your water lettuce turning yellow

Ya you can put it on that tub but i will suggest you if you have fishes on the tub don’t put it directly quarantine the plants for 1 week on another tub than you can put it.

Yes you can grow the floating ferns without soil on a cemented tank but the lotus or lily plant will need soil to grow.

My question is that can we maintain java Moss out of water on wood which will be partially submerged in water? Moss will absorb water from the wood.

You can use any substrate available in aquarium store, best is Amazonia and if you don’t want to buy it then you can simply go for garden soil and river sand mix
