I have completely quit playing in public lobbies. So glad they allow you to run businesses in private lobbies now. That saved the game for me.

Yeah gotta agree with you there. Public sessions are still fun if you aren't trying to get anything done. But if you are trying to make money or do anything productive they suck

On PlayStation 4 and 5 you can mess with network settings, adjust MTU settings from 1500 to 800 and you will EVERY TIME get a single player public lobby in GTAO. No other person will ever join. Down side is you can't do anything that includes other players. It will just crash. Positive side is that you can get your friends into that server then change your MTU settings back and join friend voilaa you have your own server.

a perfect video describing exactly why there are no actual new players in gta online. It's impossible for someone to get anything going if they don't know what they're doing and they'll likely just get bullied the whole time they're playing and won't want to play again

A tip to make people stop killing you as a low rank. Text them on the phone “chill bro I’m just trying to make money” or hit them with the “can you stop killing me please and help me make money instead of being weird” calling people weird makes them chill out and realize that nobody in the lobby is acting how their acting so they’ll either leave you alone or leave the lobby. It works ever time. One more thing. Don’t even pull your gun out to shoot at them. They’ll stop bothering you. But keep grinding bro!! 💯

Lots of fun to start at level 0. I'm doing a playthrough where I don't ever call a mechanic so I have to get a taxi to my garage. It was fun until a modder made everyone in my lobby get op weapons for free and all the collectibles were unlocked.

It’s insane to me that there’s a kickstarter for new players now. I started the game with absolutely nothing. The grindset consisted of playing Martins missions non-stop until I have enough money to buy property. What a horrid start compared to what it is now. Might just start a new character for this reason.

I recently bought GTA5 and apparently didn't get the "extended" version so this series is extremely helpful as I didn't get the 4 million bucks to start....went from scratch so thank you. Every other guide series is from the 4 mil bonus.....

Quick parachuting tip when u hold L1/R1 on PlayStation or LB/RB on Xbox for landing when ur close to the ground don’t pull back or forwards in the stick and u won’t stumble or roll

Private/solo public for making money, regular public lobby for open world death matches. Starting new is so easy now compared to 2013-2014, excluding those that purchased shark cards.
