When you think of Mercedes you think of that iconic style of car. Started with no problems and remakably sound for it's age and condition. Definitely a worthwhile restoration. 👍👍

In 1989 my dad bought a 1987 W201 190e with the 2.3 8 valve (the 134 HP model, not the 16 valve) and that thing was pretty damn fast. It was black with tan leather and a black dash, so it was a really good looking Benz. It had the one windshield wiper that the Bosch wiper motor would go out all the time and it was $1000 every time it did. When my mom sold it to the mechanic that she dropped it off to have work done it had well over 250,000 miles on it (we didnt know the exact mileage as the speedometer stopped working 2 years prior to her selling it).

My father used to buy cars from Germany and transport them to Latvia, where we live, he bought like 5 and i grew up with the last one. it was a silver 1.8 Manual, it got real rusty, bet it was such a nice car and it had a soul. He sold it to his mechanic for 1 euro.

8 лет стояла и так быстро завелась. Вот он - настоящий автомобиль, который дарит эмоции. Даже в 2023 году он выглядит солидно. Это намного интересно смотреть, чем на современные безчувственные мыльницы типо Москвича и прочих Чмолярисов. Ну и конечно уважение автору канала. Вы - хороший человек. Вы из Эстонии, оказывается - значит немного знаете русский. Правда мне всегда было интересно - где вы находите столько брошенных машин?)))

Помыть и на металлолом. Отличный был авто в 90-е. Из последних, с пластиком внизу дверей. Дизель неубиваемый. Запуск в любой мороз. Только свечи накала должны быть исправны и форсунки не должны лить. К сожалению маломощный и очень быстро гнил кузов. Но плавность хода и расход топлива радовал. Никаких нареканий по электрике. В задней подвеске слишком много сайлентблоков. Ремонт очень дорогой. Покатавшись 2 года продал и купил W124 300Д.

Mój ulubiony Yotuber zawsze pokaże coś interesującego :))) To niebywałe że w Estonii można znaleźć tyle porzuconych wraków samochodów. Ty musisz za nie płacić jak je zabierasz? Czy ludzie oddają je za darmo? W Polsce nie ma tyle takich samochodów , przynajmniej ja nie widziałem :)))

Mercedesy, toyoty w większości wyjeżdżają na eksport do portów. Stare samochody ktoś skupuje i wysyła. One mają gdzieś daleko nowe życie./ Mercedes, toyotas mostly go for export to ports. Old cars are bought and shipped. They have a new life somewhere far away.

190e is my first car. Travelled from nigeria to cameroon to get it. Till today i still use it as my everyday car and i havent try getting a new car to replace it because mordern cars comes with alot of sensors and not as reliable as 190

I would like to restore most of them but sadly I'm not able to do it because we are working outdoors. But usually trying to find new owner for these cars after that we are getting car tax even on abandoned cars. This mercedes and that white w124 got exported. I traded them for w140 OM606 and paid a bit money.

Great video!! Very happy to see a 190 D as mine!!! I'd like to know your opinion, dear Flexiny, about blow by test. Do you think this test could be a good indicator of engine's healthy? My OM601 has "cap dance" but it works perfectly and cold start is ok. Someone says that cap dance means that the engine is worn out, other people say that it Is normal. I'm confused, what do you think about that? Greetings from Italy.

Thanks! Usually low mileage engines does not have much blow by but I had some cars with higher blow by and still working without issues. I would not worry if engine starts without any problem when its cold (and if it has bad starting then I would do compression test and check glow plugs) and not burning oil (blue smoke, piston rings or valve stem seals).
