I use my journals that way also; everything from favorite scriptures, quotes, tips on how to create for junk journals, and food tips.

I made the switch last year from making notes on scraps of paper to cue cards then to a journal book. I didn't realize till now that it was a Common place book! ❤ Gorgeous wallpaper samples! Ty

That John Green quote really spoke to me too! It made me smile as soon as I saw you start to write it out. Your commonplace book is beautiful so far. I really like the way you use those dot markers - I have some and I haven’t really known how I wanted to use them yet. You inspired me to pull them back out and try again!

Yes more common place note book. Love the wallpaper it’s just beautiful. And I do like the travellers note book. I have one that I use for watercolours on the run sewn together with dyed calico fabric. I like your videos calm and not endless use of bought stuff. 👍

I'm currently on commonplace book sticking in paper ephemera, text and packaging too nice to be thrown away. I didn't know what they were until I did some research on the subject. Most of past journals are like scrapbook or Smashbook. I use TN style inserts for regular art junk journaling.

I have a commonplace book for my job as an accountant. I love it and use it constantly. Mainly I use it when I need to do something and the software is just weird. Sounds strange but accounting software often acts like everything runs perfectly and no changes will ever be needed. Anyway a commonplace book gives me a place to record how to make a change for all of the weird transactions you may run into.

I like this idea, i have a Conquest Journals travel journal cover and inserts that would work well as a commonplace book. I tend to have commonplace infomration (quotes, ideas, information) in every notebook and planner I own, but a central spot in a more formal commonplace book concept like those of the Rennaiisance period would be a great idea. Thanks for sharing this

You can get samples from DIY/hardware shops! Paint colour cards are fun too! :)
