I don’t know why sometimes photocards are much more expensive than buying unsealed albums itself

i love hearing people talking abt the overpricing on rv (specifically joohyun) cards and knowing they hate the prices just as much as me!! ive always ended up spending more on irene’s cards then any other sm idol i collect (besides taeyong😳) , it’s outrageous.

I definitely agree !! Especially for out of print albums...a lot of RV’s older albums are harder to find at a decent price ESPECIALLY summer magic (I literally saw it 2 years or 1 year ago for £20 and now it’s more than £100) I also collect Dreamcatcher and any album before their most recent 3 cbs are insanely priced ! I really wish companies reprinted albums 😞

I think in general cards are staring to get overpriced like there are some Chungha cards from albums that are still in print & people are pricing them $20 or over for them. I'm an astro collector & cha eunwoo is the most over priced member, I've seen some of his cards at a ridiculous price while "the least popular" member is worth $5. & don't even get me started on bts & loona cards

frr idk anything abt photocards besides ur channel but yeah different prices by member is like determining their worth/value. it feels like a small thing but it could be seen as a big deal. the sellers that sell at insane prices are either not/fake fans, fans that don't realize the implications, or maybe need money. overpriced photocards makes me sus on whether the sellers are fans bc i remember a huge jungkook fansite was exposed for being an anti and she made BANK and it's along the same lines

as a shinee and snsd collector i really understand the struggle, especially for out of print albums. usually when i do find OOP albums at a good price they say they dont come with a pc, and when i find pcs from the album being sold separately they cost more than the album 😭

just for ppl watching this who may think its ridiculous to complain about a few dollars of a difference between members $11 alone isn't a bad price, like if you pulled a card but really wanted another and can't trade for it so u buy one and sell the other, but when you have 100+ cards to collect it adds up those few dollars make a difference especially when there's shipping involved. at the end of the day, these are literally paper selfie/non selfie cards that we as fans have put a value on. I love collecting but like chill ppl they do NOT need to be this expensive

I wanted to collect Jessica Jung cards except now i'm just going to have a incomplete binder page, on Ebay the ones I can find are going from $30- $100. Except she left SNSD in 2014 so her cards would be out of print and older.

here in singapore, irene album cards are often sold around SGD$14-$20+ and ITS JUST ALBUM CARDS. i came across a seller auctioning irene's heart finale pc starting from $50 😢 it's so hard being an irene collector :(

i just recently started collecting lucas photocards and wow i’m so poor now 😭 i’m canadian so seeing a $14USD card is equivalent to $18.50CAD, plus paypal fees and shipping fees :( its been really frustrating since hes one of the more “sought after” members meanwhile taeil is my 127 bias, and it makes me so sad when he’s “cheaper” than other members.. :(

I was hardcore collecting OT5 photocards up until TRF Day 1 when I took a break for about a year and a half. Recently, during quarantine, I got back into it and the prices now are absolutely insane. I was caught off guard by TRF Finale going out of print since album cards were always so easy to complete and now I'm kicking myself for not completing the set sooner. I think I'm just going to have to collect my ult now since the prices and scarcity have made it so difficult.

But like it’s just normal and fair since more people wanted irene so it’s much more expensive. And some albums are much more rare than the others, in my country/city finale albums are so damn expensive Which makes the popular cards much more expensive.

i collect joy and yeri i wouldn't say it's hard to collect them since i'm almost done with my joy collection (due to buying this girls joy collection) yeri isn't bad but it's harder to find her older album cards since they aren't in print. but overall i still enjoy both of my collections and i'm proud overall of how far my collection is since i've only been collecting for 3 months, but overall i hope the collecting community gets better with the whole pricing thing bc it is annoying.

I always find irene cards for a good price usually 6-8€ and that’s ok. I also started collecting non album stuff like you do and let me say mercari is a no for that... usually non album stuff is cheaper on bunjang (at least that’s what I heard). I always try to find all the cards for really cheap and had luck with it. (found Irene paper folder for 20$ lmao)

i just traded this seulgi glitter tears card for 4 twice cards making sure the person i traded was totally fine with that, considering that you get 5-7 twice cards in 1 album. And she told me that it's really hard to find this card and if you find it, it's really expensive....i was like O.O i stopped collecting red velvet cards right before finale dropped, so it's wild to hear that people sell their cards for so much when just a year ago i didn't pay more than 8-10 euros for one card including shipping even from ebay

Just like in ITZY photocards. Ryujin and Yeji photocards often cost $6 and above. The worst price I have seen so far is $12. When I first started collecting photocards, all I saw was overpriced PCs so when a little bit affordable PC appeared, I desperately clicked order and I thought I was being wise lmao so when I learned how it actually works, I was like 🤦🏻‍♀️. Of course, some people are still falling and taking those overpriced PCs, can't blame them especially if they are new and just want to collect everything fast. Suprised that it got better recently for some sellers (I think). I only collect ITZY and not as dedicated for BLACKPINK. I stopped taking interest in collecting anything about LOONA, only have my bias solo with me. They are expensive af. 😂 Nice collection btw.

As a Japanese person I'm sorry that you couldn't get the card because of that shady seller :( Just a suggestion though, have you ever considered buying from Buyee? They buy stuff for you on Mercari from the original seller and send it to you. It's going to be more expensive because there's a middle man involved, but I've never been scammed there and your transactions will be transparent.
