A bead board will be super nice and cozy

I would vote for tile for durability and ease of cleaning. The white cabinets are going to be beautiful!

I just started doing white because I feel like I need the brightness . I had three boys now they’re three men that don’t live here we’re empty nesters so my house is like under 1000 square-foot is so small and it has a lot of doors and a lot of rooms because that’s the way they built 1925 homes but I love my little house I really do so it’s time that we start putting some fixing up to it. ., Plus we have a new grandbaby, so I wanted to freshen up with the paint we did two rooms, bedroom and dining room all white with a black matted trim, adjust the wood facing it came out beautiful., in my kitchen. The accent color is red, but in the dining room the accent color is sage green, so I have a cabinet that I painted sage green so pretty.

Take off the 3 inch current backsplash before you tile or change to beadboard. Great start.

BeadBoard will give a cohesive appearance with the rest of your century old home.

Love Fusion too. I put clear wrap over lid before putting it back on. I also put hand lotion in so it comes off my hands easier. Love your channel.

I’ve never heard of Dewil paint but I did paint cabinets with Fusion and they turned out beautifully and have been very durable. I love the idea of bead board.

So when we purchased the house we really didn’t do much because I actually like the original stuff I did do some upgrading now our top cabinets are the original glass cabinets and the bottoms are oak that we installed with for Micah but then years back my kids put me granite I actually had a carpenter build me a couple of cabinets the one next to the stove and another one but the one next to the stove we did buy a granite piece to put on top of that and it’s actually quite large because the cabinet hosts the microwave and some drawers., that Carpenter was great. He did so much for me, but he has passed so now my husband and I have been doing a lot of stuff ourselves, which is harder because we’re older recently before Thanksgiving. I had a carpenter that was by referral come out to my house to replace two windows that were the original, but they were so rotten and we put in some new windows and but the barn sour the cottage style. They’re just really pretty one with the panels in the middle so we are probably gonna do all the windows in the house, but a small step at a time.

Yes, I think the bead board would be best. Too bad the cabinets weren’t in a bead board, then you could have done a black splash … say in a tinted “tin”, the same as you would find on the ceilings of some century homes. I’ll definitely consider DWIL WOOD for my future paint projects. I would have gone to the mineral paints normally. Thanks for sharing.
