Yeah, that was the first moment that really sold me on going Azata. My headcanon is that the character delivering that speech to you is Desna herself.

It's hard to get Desna upset, but never make her upset. She'll show up with her buddies Shelyn, Calistria and Sarenrae to smash your demon fortress and kill your demon lord.

@@JeanBaptisteEmanuelZorg A very old and very powerful Diety in Golarion. Like, one of the ones that fought Rovagug near the beginning of creation old. She's got power and experience, as well two powerful lovers in Shelyn and Sarenrae to back her up.

I always like to say that 'Chaos' amplifies the other alignment it's paired with. Chaotic Evil can often be described as pure evil, since there are no rules or regulations or morals or restrictions holding it back. It's Evil free to do the most disgusting, horrifying, grotesque things it wants. Likewise, Chaotic Good is pure goodness. Similar to Chaotic Evil, it's Goodness that's completely free to perform the most kind and loving actions. Its one flaw is that Mercy isn't something that comes really easy to CG. People think Lawful Good is the paragon alignment? Nah. Chaotic Good does not care about any silly rules or restrictions. CG at its most intense will do its best to maximize the good in the world, even if it means tearing what you say they can or cannot do to shreds in the process. "You say I can't destroy this abhorrent slave market and begin to unravel the very fabric of the Abyss itself because 'blah blah rules, blah blah repercussions'? Watch me."

​@@elizabethhicks4181 Interesting, I have somewhat of an inverted approach. All the Chaotic alignments value freedom. What sets them apart is how they actualize that freedom. Chaotic Evil will just do what it wants at the expense of others. It believes in its own freedom, but doesn't extend that right to others. Chaotic Neutral tries to not be in the way, respects its own freedom and of everyone else, minds its own business and wants to be left alone doing its own thing. Chaotic Good believes everyone should be free and will actively fight not just for its own freedom but for the freedom of others as well. Often without even asking. :)

@@LungDragoI think both takes have part of the truth. End of the day, evil is completely selfish, good is completely selfless, and neutral is the muddy middle ground most fit in, realistically. CG is completely good, while not caring about things like tradition or rules. LG and CG are both beautiful things, in their own way. I’ll always appreciate CG more, partially cuz I love the idea of boundless compassion and love for your fellow human, the kind that ignores all barriers just to show you that you’re cared about. It’s the good I show when I’m at my best and most selfless, because it’s what feels right to me. For me, it’s not really about freedom, it’s more about “I don’t care what you or society says, im going to do what I want and what I want is to be kind to this person”. I wish I could act that way more often, too often I act selfishly. All that to say, I started my azata run recently after a lich run, it feels so much more fun and better, im loving it so far!

@@warcrimescostextra3992 same here. the "go and take with you the knowlege that even a pebble struck with a moonbeam can be equal to any star" part touched something very deep inside of me. i felt understood, felt like someone somewhere feels things the same way i do. the only other time i felt this way in a game was during the "i exist too" part of THAT dialogue in disco elysium. and honestly the "eslysium" part in both just can't be a coincedence.

God my lead up to that fight was pristine. I was trying to fly under the radar as much as possible. I was freeing slaved where I could, but I wasn't picking fights that I didn't have too. I was even considering ignoring the Battlebliss cause I thought it might draw to much attention. Then in my wandering, some bastards kidnapped Dragon Daughter. Oh man I tell you I was pissed. Not to mention the Mephistopheles twist. I knew Early Sunset was acting a little weird and giving strange advise, but I did not expect an actual Devil trying to tempt me. Anyway, I tracked Aivu down, and then I kicked the everloving shit out of those kidnappers, and then said "Fuck it! We're going loud!" And proceeded to fight all the Fleshmarket gangs at once, while freeing the bonds of all those left in chains. And then, when I was done, I planted a god damn tree and left. Most epic moment of the game, bar none. I hadn't felt that powerful since getting Mythic 1. And no one messes with my child.

I love that some demons you pass around later say "nobody knows where that tree came from and nobody can get rid of it". You made a change in the abyss. Maybe a little one but one with HUGE repercusions. And it's going to stay there.

On the one hand, I really like this scene BUT we still go to the demons and corrupt (well, corrupt good) part of their countries because we don't like the way things work there. But if tomorrow the demons come to the Elysium and corrupt a part of the world, it would be "bad"... We literally did the same thing xD

It is! That said, I'm biased a bit more towards Angel myself. In particular, I find the choice between salvation and retribution intriguing

@@tommarsdon5644 Demon is a rocky road absolutely *covered* in sauce, nuts, and other heavy toppings. Aeon is just vanilla-chocolate swirl. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. Lich is a bitter coffee-flavored one. Trickster is a WHOLE banana split with EVERYTHING on it! :D Swarm is those ice creams with those nasty edible crickets in it. Dragon is pleasant caramel ice cream with sweet graham cracker pieces. Devil is strawberry with strawberry topping and cherry. Legend has no ice cream, he gave it to his friends. :)

Yeah I believe so. Got a few in my campaigns. They can always derail the campaign in the most unexpected way, which always make the DM and other PL wanna laugh and cry at the same time.

Honestly, I feel this is part of what CG is. it's doing good because it's right not because it's lawful or just because it's funny. The spirit of freedom and light-heartedness is the core of CG but I feel it falls into 'screw the laws' too much. I had a CG that I realized the more I played her (in my Pathfinder game online, she's actually LG but doesn't follow others laws. She follows her own code of morals, ethics and duty.

@@voidtalongaming4637 if the character follows its own moral code that is CHAOTIC ... lawful follows the law of OTHERS. If your character is "i make my own rules" then it CANNOT be lawful alignment.

Say a Temple Warrior from an isolated tribe finds themselves without a home due to war and is now an adventurer but still embodies the culture/traditions of the now razed village? (Spitting an example. I like your definitions curious to how you'd classify this).

@@voidtalongaming4637 generally Lawful alignment follows rules that lead to stability and order, if your hypothetical tribe is bunch of canibals making living raiding murdering and pillaging then no this character would fall outside of lawful by default BUT another characteristic of Lawful is that they abide by rules of theyr environment UNLESS that environment lacks Lawful qualities (meaning for example Lawful character wont follow pirate code just because he is in country run by pirates). if your hypothetical tribesman is of lawful alignment he would have to adapt to act within rules of his environment of course there are exceptions (LG character wont be exactly thrilled to follow rules of LE society as an example) if i had player playing that "barbarian" and wanted to play LX character like you described i would tell him that he either has to make his character to adapt to what "lawful" means for the setting the game is being set in OR change his alignment to NEUTRAL because he has his own set of rules (therefore NOT lawful as he rejects the laws of his environment) but follows a code set externally (and therefore not chaotic) by tradition of his tribe. but frankly im more used to systems where there is no pre set alignment and players and GMs are free to choose how theyr characters act themselves instead of being constrained by stupid and inflexible alignment chart specifically because sometimes it is very hard to have a character that is just one alignment

Sad but true, BG3 got a lot of promise though, let's hope for the best. I've played it since it was available, and it shows great promise, if they manage to make the game chapters appealing in the main storyline, with lots of quests and large areas along with the Baldur's Gate Citystate.

@Saiyan in the Iron Mask you can Compare games based on a Lot of things. Bugs, I Don't know that. But both games has the same sense of humour, I believe same, composer did the same work. Characters that you care for and find interesting (not necessary PC characters, but npcs like Malady or Volo.) You, can talk to animals and that ability, changes everything, adding a Lot of extra to the Game (like persuading the spiders that you are the Spider Queen and free them to help with the goblins.) You can use your environment to change the whole game (killing both thr mindflayer and the devil captain in the tutorial, slaying every goblin during the attack, etc), so strategy is a huge thing. You can get cool abilities like long jump, fly, burrow, changjng your place on the battle map. And the Best feature : easy game with friends Hopefully: same DM editor for an online DnD campaign as in the Divinity (ok Divinity has no DnD system but can be used for visuals)

Anyone saying you shouldn't compare BG3 to Divinity is being silly. They're made by the same dev, with a lot of similar features Now, I think/hope that Larian isn't insensitive enough to just do it how the OP put it and cash in on D&D for sales, but I also wouldn't be surprised nor really blame them if that were part of their motivation TLDR: I don't think I can name one company who could pull off BG3 in a satisfactory way except Larian (That's not a knock-off to Owlcat BTW), so I think they should be given the chance to try
